When the Niners came out this season in their throwback uniforms, I wanted to cry. The purity of the candy red, and the muted gold. The gray facemask. The simplicity of the logo. The stripes on the socks. Everything about that uniform is great. And it reminds me of the times when the team was truly great. The 49ers glory days. It's time to switch back permanently.
Coach Nolan has brought an old school attitude and approach. He wants to wear a suit to honor his father and the history of the game. He understands what 49er tradition is all about. The ownership has to recognize that there is no better time to prove to a dissapointed fan base that they too understand tradition and are committed to taking this team back to prominence (not to mention keeping them in SF).
I don't know what it will take to get this change made. I don't even know if most fans feel like I do. But I know there are likeminded people out there. I think it's time that we make it known how we feel about the uniforms. Take a look at Ditch The Black, a website created by Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch and loves the traditional uniform aesthetic. This is the model that I think we may want to follow.
I know that there are players who agree. Look in this article and you can see that there are players who agree with me.
What do people think? Would you back this change? Would you be willing to put in a little work to get it done?

It's high time the niners make themselves an elite franchise once again. Start with the uniforms.
