My Fantasy Team

Well, in light of our recent suckitude, I thought I'd share some info on my fantasy team so I can make all of my fellow NN bloggers jealous.

This team is just straight beastly:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Joseph Addai
WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Santonio Holmes
TE: Jeremey Shockey
RB/WR: Braylon Edwards
PK: Adam Vinatieri
D/ST: Baltimore

Bench: Minnesota Defense
       Joey Porter
       Derrick Ward
       Brandon Jacobs
       Nate Burleson
       Brian Leonard

Most of my bench has not been with me for this entire season.  I make many waiver moves to pick up whatever talent I need, but as you can see, my starting roster is pretty much stacked.

So is anyone jealous?

...you should be...

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

How about this:
In one league I'm in, we're allowed one keeper from last season and it has to be somebody we drafted in the 6th round or later (so nobody from waivers).  Well with the 2nd to last pick of the 6th round last year I took Joseph Addai.  This year, I kept Addai as my 6th round pick and check out the rest of this team:

QB: Tony Romo
RB: Joseph Addai
RB: Brian Westbrook
(NOTE: Up until last week I ALSO had Ronnie Brown!)
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Donald Driver
FLEX: Jerricho Cotchery
TE: Chris Cooley
K: David Akers
DEF: Eagles

BENCH: Matt Schaub, Deion Branch, Brandon Jackson, Correll Buckhalter, Chris Henry (Bengals receiver version I just picked up for insurance).

Before Ronnie Brown went down, my roster included 5 of the top 6 performers in Yahoo fantasy football.  How's that sound BawLa?

It sounds like you are jealous of my lineup....heh
You have a nice team.  But Tom Brady is a guaranteed win week-in, week-out.  Braylon Edwards has been a beast, and with Wayne and Holmes my reciever trio is beastly.  It would be interesting to see our teams go mano y mano (minus Addai of course).

You play in one of those leauges with 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 Flex whereas mine has only 1 RB, 2 WR and 1 Flex.  My roommate plays in a league with 2 RB, 3 WR and 1 Flex and has like 17 players on his team.  Blech!

I like my league because it has less total # of players per team, making it more of a challenge to pick guys up on waivers.  Your leauge and my roommate's league make it more of a challenge for the draft, but after the draft, your team doesn't change too much because all the players are on a team somewhere.

Dang
Based strictly on the fact that nobody could possibly want to talk football so soon after yesterday, I was expecting a somewhat sexier Diary. Oh well. I'll just have to keep my fantasy team to myself.

Not a bad list, per se
I think mine would be better, though...

My list, upcoming later tonight. We wait with baited breath.

Alright. Here's the Winner!
QB: Phoebe Cates
RB 1: Alyson Hannigan
RB 2: Estella Warren
WR 1: Christina Ricci
WR 2: Zhang Ziyi
TE: Eva Longoria
K: Julia Bond
DST: Jeanette Lee

My reserves include: Gillian Anderson (Circa X-Files), Kate Beckinsale, Kate Winslett, Monica Bellucci, and Anna Faris.

And yes, I know, I wasn't even alive when Fast Times came out. So what. She's still hot.

yes well
the level of discourse on a post like that is bound to be a tad bit below what we have, say, here.  For the most part.  I voted for Lee in that one as well.  That round is over actually and any day now we'll be seeing the championship.  Strike that.  It's today

Should be a good matchup.  Allison Stokke vs. Sasha Cohen.

Oh it's that kind of fantasy team
In that case...

QB-Clive Owen
RB-LaDanian Tomlinson (yes he is a cutie and he a pretty good football player)
RB-Zach Levy
WR-Ryan Reynolds
WR-Hugh Jackman
TE-Vernon Davis (on the grounds of the Tomlinson pick: both being a good tight end and having a good tight end)
K-Christian Bale
DST-Viggo Mortensen

Bench: Anderson Cooper, Gaspard Ulliel (the dude in Hannibal Rising), James Denton

And to save you all from pulling a muscle in your rolling of eyes at me, here's a list of hot girls I fancy:

QB-Rosario Dawson
RB-Carla Gugino
RB-Olivia Wilde
WR-Morena Baccarin
WR-Gina Torres
TE-Jewel Staite (okay, basically the entire female main cast of Firefly/Serenity)
K-Rachel Bilson
DST-Amy Adams

Bench: Jenna Fischer, Mandy Moore, Sandra Oh.

my fantasy team sucks
I took Gore in the first round (dumb move) and Palmer as my QB (had some great weeks but recently has sucked).  The only stud has been Randy Moss.  Other than that I suck suck suck.

ouch
You just can't predict injuries/letdowns.  That is what makes up the luck side of fantasy.  Addai, who has been a mainstay for me, got injured, but it was only minor (thankfully).  If Brady went down, and I had to fill him in with Trent Edwards for example, I would go from the dominant team to just another team.  Basically, Brady is this year's version of last year's LT.

I feel you though because my other fantasy team is going through the same thing.  (I drafted Bulger and some other failures...)

BTW
What is this mmorpg being advertised in that thing? I can't make out the font they use. I don't really play those things, but this is bugging me for some reason.

Great
The second I post this it changes to an ad for an SUV. Ummm... feel free to delete these comments, Fooch. I feel used by the internets. Used and abused.

Yeah, definitely delete these last two comments, which are apparently completely useless.

Ask and you shall receive!
Unless you're on the 49ers offense, of course.
