ESPN Power Rankings

I don't usually put much stock into these rankings, but the 49ers are ranked so low, I just had to wallow a bit in my misery:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking?season=2007&week=10

29 (28)    49ers     2-6-0

It's always troubling when a young player regresses -- especially if he's your QB. A year ago, Alex Smith finished with a 74.8 passer rating on a 58.1 completion rate. This year: 57.6 rating (last in the league) and 49.7 completion rate.

The 49ers are ahead of the Jets (1-7), Rams (0-8) and Dolphins (0-8).

Ha!
It's always troubling when every returning starter and free agent acquisition on offense regresses, especially when that every returning starter and free agent acquisition on offense is your every returning starter and free agent acquisition on offense.

I think that's more like it.

I keep reliving the moment when Steve Young almost fell down. Over and over. / My Blog, For Writers

ranking
FO has us ranked 32nd since about week 4.
I don't even thing the defense has cracked the top 25.

The only reason we are ranked above the 1-8 and 0 win teams is that we fluked into 2 early wins.
