Per the New York Times:

Guy Morriss is reportedly out as Baylor's coach, according to both the Houston Chronicle and the Dallas Morning News, and the former Baylor linebacker and N.F.L. Hall of Famer Mike Singletary is considered a front-runner for the job.

I really would be upset if Singletary left for the Baylor job, of all places.

College vs. NFL
I find it hard to believe that he'd consider a college head coaching over an NFL head coaching job.  He has a good gig right now with Nolan, even though people think he should have been "promoted" to being a coordinator.  I think his current "assistant head coach" position is more valuable (at least on the 49ers coaching staff) and will continue to help him get a job with an NFL team.

I recently read that one of his big knocks this past off season (and it probably cost him the Atlanta job) was that he didn't have a list of assistants ready.  He has (supposedly) since developed a pretty  impressive list and is ready to break into the NFL scene.

Basically, for all my rambling, I am just saying he could be an NFL head coach next year, so it's highly unlikely he'll take the Baylor job unless it's a last minute decision (missing the spring practices and recruiting season), but that is highly unlikely as well.

At this point...
I wouldn't even mind seeing Nolan replaced with Singletary. I was hoping Nolan would stay out all week...and then the Niners played totally focused against the SeaHags under Singletary's watch. That would give the Yorks something to chew on.

If...
If I was a niners coach, I would take any job of higher status than Everett Middle Schools' team.
