Lance Briggs

Lance Briggs is asking the Chicago Bears to either rescind the franchise tag they've placed on him or trade him.  What would you be willing to part with in trade for Lance Briggs and what type of deal would you want to sign him to?  With Adalius Thomas off the market and Joey Porter not looking like a likely target it will be interesting to see how Briggs situation evolves with Chicago and if they start to take offers for him.

I don't know.
If Briggs can convince the Bears to rescind the Franchise Tag, I'm sure he can dictate who he gets traded to as well.  This may not bode too well for a team that figures to finally switch to a 3-4, which Briggs has openly stated he does not want to play.  Besides, considering how "determined" Nolan is to have guys that are "team" players, how good does a guy who doesn't want to play a certain position/scheme look him?

Even if he doesn't have control over who he gets traded to, the Bears may do what the Bills did last year with Clements: shop him around, but allow the interested teams no ability to speak to him or negotiate a contract before agreeing to a trade.  I think that is what shy'd Nolan away from trading for Clements last season.

Briggs
I don't see him fitting in the 3-4 anyway, whether he wants to play in it or not.  Briggs reminds me of Derrick Brooks and Cato June, protype Cover 2 linebackers.  I just don't see him fitting in this scheme, as most successful 3-4 OLB are bigger, tweener DE/LB types.

Jay Moore
I'm going to beat the drum for Jay Moore as much as possible.  He was a defensive end at Nebraska with Adam Carriker, but he's too small to fill the position at the next level.  I think he could be a great option at outside linebacker in that tweener role.

Brian Robison
I know you prefer Moore, but Fooch I'd rather see Brian Robison of Texas if we draft a guy to play opposite Lawson.  The guy is a complete athlete, running track for UT also.  He's got quickness, agility, and was very good in college also.  I'd be happy either way, but Robison is my choice.
