This is unrelated to the 49ers, but nonetheless a big story for the league. The NFL announced today that Pac Man Jones will be suspended for the season and Chris Henry will be suspended for the first 8 games of the season, at which point they can then apply for reinstatement.
The commissioner is most definitely sending a message with these suspensions. While Pac Man and Henry are not the only problem children of the NFL, they are two of the most prominent. The question now is how long it takes for the NFLPA to try and get this before an independent arbitrator.
