Uniforms - Throwbacks all season?
Two news items recently indicate the team is thinking about going with the old uni's all season, as a tribute to Bill Walsh. There were rumors that Nolan was considering this change anyway, so maybe this is a good excuse to make it happen sooner.
I saw this one:

and coachAJ saw this one:

pretty much the same quotes, etc in both of those, but it's encouraging news. Let's make it happen people!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

From what I understand...
The NFL has already OK'd two instances of the uniforms, but it'll be nice if they could use them forever.

I would like to think that
My Greatest Fear: I would hate for them to linger in mediocrity (read: not challenging for the SB) and ruin the mojo that the championship teams worked so hard to maintain.
I'd certainly be happy if they went with them twice a year, pick any two games. When the new stadium opens, they'll no doubt put a twist on the current uni's that everyone will moan about, so we can entertain the perma-throwbacks then.
Plus I friggin love the current uni's. Very polished.

bad news
"Uni Watch News Ticker: Contrary to some rumors that were floating around last week, the 49ers will not be wearing their Montana-era throwbacks for the entire season. They'll still wear them for their first game, as has been the plan all along, but that's it. ..."
Not sure how he knows but I would trust him...
