Madden 08 Xbox 360 (Live)

With the pending release of Madden 08 looming which ones of you out there are going to get it for Xbox 360? Apparently my Xbox is currently trying to be delivered after being sent in to be serviced for the 3 Flashing Red Rings of Death. So the good news is, that I'll have it back by the Tuesday when Madden releases.

To get to the point of the diary, I was just wondering if there was enough interest to get an online Madden tourney going.

Madden for Xbox 360

I noticed that IGN has the rosters up for Madden 08. The attribute "columns" resembled those of NFL Head Coach (if anyone has played that) and I was wondering if it was like that for last year's installment of Madden as well?

I'm just curious because my Wii version for '07 didn't have attributes for like "Zone", "Man", "Trucking", and such. If it wasn't like that for the 360 version last season, then I kind of look forward to these more "in-depth" attributes.

Whatever changes

they make, there are only two things that I think are desperately needed at this point.

They seriously need to create new player models, because these ten year old hunks of poorly molded clay are sorely outdated (player models in that ESPN Football game were fantastically pliable and detailed, for instance).

And they seriously need a new physics engine, because they also haven't changed that in about ten years (it seems) and the unrealistic way that the "solid" bodies rebound off of each other is embarrasing (the physics engine in that ESPN football was fantastic, making rushing and tackling particularly realistic).

That ESPN game was deeply flawed (NO FRANCHISE!), but it was easily graphically and physically superior to any game in the Madden Franchise. Madden has always been the deepest and most satisfying console football sim, but I wish that with the power of these new consoles they'd do just a little to update the basic details of the game.

No XBox

Unfortunately I don't have an XBox...I've got a PS2 and a Wii....I'm gonna wait on getting either a PS3 or the newer Xbox until I get an HD tv which probably won't be until after law school

Unfortunately

I just have a Wii right now, and I barely get to play that as it stands (stupid looking for a job BS... if only I HAD one I'd have all the time in the world!).

But I would be all over it if circumstances were different. I certainly won't be buying any nice things until my income starts rolling in.

I think it took like 3-4 weeks for me to get my console back after I sent it in.

If we had enough interest we'd probably get something going in September.

What I'd really like to do is if we could get 4 of us to to a round robin (all using the Niners), and then have Field Gulls and Turf Show Times to do the same. The winners would then represent/play with their team in a NFC West SBNation Tourney. Each blog's runners up can play for the chance to represent the Cardinals.

hey guys, check out 360premierleagues.com for online leagues, check out the forums, register and go to the mfpl board and you can register for the madden league

the site runs tons of leagues and they are all successful so if your into that its worth checking out
