parking

I have the amazing privilege to go to the opening mnf game which I am sure will be one packed house.  I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the best places to park because I always get stuck out by hunters point after parking on monsters amazing dirt lot (who doesnt love dr. york..) and it takes me forever.  I've heard that those apartment parking lots right off the highway are easier to get out of even though they are pretty tight quarters.  Time isn't really an issue as I've devoted my whole day to mnf tailgating.  Any suggestions?

I have found that the best place
to park is as close to the fence and near the north-westernmost exit by the RV's and buses. It's so easy to sneak in as if you are part of a large group, and those folks almost never leave until at LEAST an hour after the game (could be earlier due to the late kickoff).

I agree about that dirt lot. I've parked way out on the point right on the water and it took nearly 2 hours to get out, which is just BS.

Dangerous alternative: The industrial buildings a couple of blocks NW of the 'Stick offer a plethora of parking in the $15-20 range, but that can be a long walk amongst some awfully shady riff-raff. I had my pull-out CD player "pulled-out" in the mid-90's during a Sunday night game. No tunes made for a long drive home (San Diego).  :(
