Two 49ers, Willis and Lee, named All Pro

Rookie middle linebacker Patrick Willis and punter Andy Lee were named All Pro today.

Thoughts?

Star-divide

Willis was a huge find in the first-round for the team, and hopefully coaching again at the Senior Bowl will allow them to become familiar with more early contributors.

umm
isn't this like, really old news?  Or is there a difference between being an all pro and being named to the pro bowl team?

Very different
All Pro is voted on by members of the media and not separated into conferences.

Willis
Willis was not one of the five finalists for the GMC Defensive Player of the Year Award and received one vote for the AP Defensive Player of the Year.  While maybe he didn't deserve the win, I would think he deserved to finish significantly higher.  For the GMC award he was the only 2-time winner and he led the entire league with a tackle total higher than any since it was first recorded.  He made big plays stopping plenty of RBs in the backfield.  Just seems like he deserved even more.  Although I am obviously ecstatic with the All-Pro honor.

2 all-pros
Did Andy Lee have more punts than Willis had tackles? Just a thought.

Andy Lee Facts
Everytime Andy Lee punts the ball one of Patrick Willis' tacklees gets it's wings.
