3-2
I hope there’s absolutely no more scoring in the Detroit – Minnesota game. A 3-2 finish would be really awesome.
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.
I am an idiot
In my non-NN fantasy league I have Peyton and Cutler. Peyton has sucked so far. Cutler has been good. On ESPN they have fantasy rankings each week. Everyone said that Cutler was a better play than Manning. Manning has 3 TD passes already. I benched him.

manning
In one of my non-NN leagues I have Manning and Garrard. Sometimes I’m tempted by Garrard but Manning is just too capable of blowing up. Of course I’m 2-3 thanks to his less than stellar performances to date.

Does that count as Price is Right on my 24-20 Falcons prediction? Or would mine have been the reverse?

I dunno
I’m not sure it can even work that way. I guess you would be betting 1001 after I bet 1000 if you think everyone else was under… at least in terms of the point differential. Or something. I don’t know, we both picked the same point total.
Still defending Rich Aurilia, and the Niners' classic unis
either way
we’re both gonna be pissed if the bears score a TD to win right here.
Still defending Rich Aurilia, and the Niners' classic unis
I wish Alex Smith was still the QB
But, it’s for selfish reasons. I live in Utah, and during his tenure as QB they showed almost every Niners game on TV here. Now, I have to watch “good” teams play. I’m sorry, but a bad Niners game is still more fun than a good Cowboys one.

2.) Isn’t a cup of coffee a better investment than Wall Street these days? You get a cup of coffee and then you get a cup to beg with.

defense still looks terrible
im not sure that whole ’ philly cant score in the 2nd half’ thing will hold hold up the things are looking right now- we’re gonna have to score some td’s
Last year
the cover story was that the defense was getting worn out because the offense was so bad.
This year I think Nolan’s defense, both strategy and personnel decisions, is being exposed. They come out on the field playing prevent. The big sub is just a reflection of Nolan’s conservative coaching style. And if you’re going to call a conservative game, you can’t make stupid mistakes. Nolan blew the game management once again this first half, between challenging and not challenging plays, and his timeout use was terrible.

now let’s see if Nolan made any adjustments to this D

adjustments
With the lead should he be a little more aggressive?

Gore his way for the td!!!!
by warriorfan4life on Oct 12, 2008 3:03 PM PDT reply actions
That was a nice drive called by Martz.
Quick hits to counteract the blitzes. Then when they’re back on their heels Gore drills it.
Exactly, Lou. Why am I anticipating the air going out of the balloon with another appearance of the big sub.

turnover
A turnover here would be absolutely huge, but I agree that I have some trepidation about more conservative defense

I like Frank Gore...
he scores TDs for the 49ers

Now maybe some pressure on McNabb.
Maybe a blitz here and there.

that's exactly
what we need. I want to see Bamm Bamm step it up and get this D going

Good pressure
but nobody could seal the deal.

***For anyone streaming this***
I posted on the ‘streaming page’ too. I downloaded myp2p and got a very horrible newer virus/trojan called virtumonde. I successfully used ‘SUPERANTISPYWARE.COM’ to get rid of it. I’m just a regular SB user and don’t rep them. I figured I could help anyone with this problem out.

VD’s matched his season total in yards and receptions today so i’ll give him a mulligan for that one
Simply by pulling on both ends, Patrick Willis can stretch diamonds back into coal
VD has been horrible in the receiving game since he was drafted up until today. I’m not giving him any Mulligans. This should be the kind of game we should expect from VD on a regular basis.
horrible?
I realize he hasn’t been great, but 52 receptions last season isn’t exactly horrible. I realize he should be better, but to say horrible seems a bit extreme.

If they’d gone for 2 and missed it’d be an 8 point game right now, instead of a 2-possession 9 points game.

How perfect
is Takeo next to PWilly? If we could get a legit pass rushing OLB to throw into the mix with Lawson and Haralson we’d have the best LB group in the league.
Justin made that play by reading the screen perfectly
and forcing McNabb to look to the middle and the resulting TS Int.
smith
I noticed him sliding over to cover the running back…good call
Niners Nation - The premier 49ers blog on the Internet!
by David Fucillo on Oct 12, 2008 3:33 PM PDT up reply actions
actually, it wasn't a screen
And I don’t think McNabb was looking that way, anyway.
But Smith did drop back to take that option away.

red zone turnovers
they don’t mean anything if the offense doesn’t move the ball
…also on that big buckhalter run, willis was blocked by jason avant, just saying
Why is everyone playing so far off receivers inside the ten yard line?
by Bob In Beaverton on Oct 12, 2008 3:39 PM PDT reply actions
because...
a touchdown a yard inside the endzone doesn’t count for as much as a touchdown in the back of the endzone. Obviously.

Good pass by McNabb
