Why the 49ers Will Beat the Eagles

First off, I predict the score will be 37-17. One score will be by DeSean Jackson, but Gore will dominate the game with Bruce and Johnson both having big games. The 49ers will throw away the ball more as the Eagles do a lot of blitzing, the sacks hopefully will be minimized to just two. The 49ers have to throw down the middle in order to win. We have to throw spirals into spots, we need to utilize our speed in separating from the secondaries and running into the end zone.

Again, I expect some of our playmakers to have big games and O'Sullivan will throw for 275-plus yards, maybe hitting 300 if he has a really good day. While we try to minimize sacks, we will also be trying to minimize turnovers that has been killing us, and our secondaries have been burned one time too many, we need to be more of ballhawkers aggressively. We need to get our hands on the ball, block it, deflect it, intercept it, and catch it. The offense needs to keep the defense in the wings on the sidelines while the offense does some trickery by running and throwing the ball.

O'Sullivan needs to be aware of who is open because he has one of the quicker releases in the NFL, and has the most completions 20 yards or more.

Vernon Davis also needs a big game. It's time for him to catch the ball and score. He has sheer speed and easily separates himself from defenders as the sun from the horizon, he has that kind of shift into higher gear. Use him, damn it. I want to see 100 yards from Davis today.  It's possible for Bruce to have a 100 yard game, with Davis getting 105 receiving yards, and Gore will run for 109 yards, with 65 yards receiving.

The 49ers will have 400 total yards today, but it remains to see whether the Niner defense can hold down the explosive Eagles. That's an area to improve on today.

And it's a very important game for Nolan. He cannot afford to lose today. The media won't let down on him if he loses.

Tom Landry, the former coach of America's favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, dressed in a suit and tie like Nolan does, only that Tom didn't do what Nolan does- lose. Landry was one of the winniest coaches in history of the NFL. And he wore a hat too, which Nolan doesn't.

Now I am going to get my lunch and snacks for the 49ers football game. To celebrate, or as a consolation prize.

Nolan, get your thinking cap on and start winning games.
