Lions looking to trade Kitna.

This morning on ESPN First Take, there was a report that the Lions plan to put QB Jon Kitna on IR if they can't trade him. The report says that Kitna will miss some time with a back injury, but that he is forecasted to be healthy and will most likely be able to play again this season. There is an article from ESPN on the subject here.

It doesn't really seem like any teams are jumping at the chance to trade for him, and of course the deadline is 4pm today so it seems highly unlikely, but what does everyone think of the Niners trading a lower round pick for Kitna. He is familiar with the offense, loves Martz and could possibly be some good insurance on JTO. It sounds like his injury isn't that serious and that he should be able to play if needed further on in the season, so why not? I think as long as the asking price isn't more then a 4th or 5th rounder it might be a good investment. Thoughts?
