Statement Game= Momentum
I have been ultra negative about things lately. I was thinking today.......what if>? The Niners have all of the weapons and all of the right players and now we can make a statement in this game. We got that mojo we showed a little during the Seahawks game.....the Browns opened the door and we need to close the deal. There is no doubt we can run....or come close to running the table for the rest of the season. Lets make a STATEMENT rest on the bye and RUN THE TABLE.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Run the table? How can we do that?
Its nice to see that your optimistic and I can understand that but. We don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of doing anything like that. Let me comment on some things you said in your post if you don’t mind. (Quoting you “We got that mojo we showed a little during the Seahawks game” ) We almost lost to this wounded and beat up Seahawk team that had all of 9 starters out. (Quoting you again “There is no doubt we can run….or come close to running the table for the rest of the season”) Have you looked at our upcoming schedule? We have games at Dallas at Buffalo and at Miami not mention our division games with St. Louis and Arizona and games at home against the Jets and Redskins. We if we are real lucky may end up with a record someplace between 2-14 and 4-12 so yes we can run the table. Run it right into the ground and another loosing season…….Again nothing wrong with your optimism….

Agree
i totally agree with that, i’ve felt for the past week that we might just pull out a sneaky little win up in NY. something like 20-16. This game will make or break our season, as far as 49er lifer,Miami aint that good, buffalo lost their qb, and we can definately beat arizona. JTO has to learn to control the ball, and we’re good. 4-4 going into the bye, 5-3 after it.
stay true, keep your head up

I know what that is...

You know what that’s called? Being a fan. I don’t remember who wrote it or when it was written here (some time last season, for sure), but someone (may have been me even) alluded to the ups and downs of being a 49ers fan (or a fan of any losing football team). Basically, a week of a football fan that witnesses his team lose goes something like this:
Sunday afternoon/night: Crushed by your team’s loss, you feel kind of dejected and messed up the rest of the day.
Monday: You read about your team’s foul-ups and miscues and it makes you even more down on the team.
Tuesday thru Wednesday: You read about the injury updates and the smoke and mirrors the coaches and players try to blow your way, which makes the loss all the more upsetting. But you read about the other team and you start to see potential weaknesses, almost as if you’re seeing a light and you hope the 49ers coaching staff sees the same thing.
Thursday thru Friday: You slowly get more and more optimistic about your team’s chances, irrational or not.
Saturday: You can’t wait for Sunday to come around already, because you feel “something different” about this week.
In the 49ers fan’s case for the past decade, don’t forget to shampoo, rinse, and repeat.
