Do any of you remember Coach Bob McKitterick?  I was very close friends with Bob and to tell of you he was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.  Every off season Bob would come to Bakersfield to visit his Mother and this is how I began my friendship with him. Bob collected rear records and there was at the time a local record shop that catered to collectors.  I was looking around and noticed Bob standing in the back of the store looking at records.  I knew who he was and made my way over to him and started a conversation with him about what a team that we had.  I am a huge Elvis Presley fan and have some very rare stuff and invited him to check out my collection we were friends from then on.  Every year Bob would send me autographed stuff from jerseys to helmets and I never asked for any of it Bob simply did this out of kindness and knowing how much I loved the 49ers. I was invited to be on the sidelines for 10 home games and always made it to training camp in Rock land California. I was there when his Mother passed away and spent time talking to him about how close he was to his mother. I hope all of remember this man who was one of the true nice guys in the NFL I remember the day he passed away March 15th 2000 and I will never forget my friend and one of the best people I ever had the privilege of knowing....
