Crazy informative
I always thought Maiocco et al. did an amazing job covering the team, but how does Silver — a national columnist, albeit a Bay Area native — get all this dirt before any of the beat guys?

Maybe.
Maybe it’s something all the writers knew of but Silver was the first to write it all down. There seems to be a lot of professional courtesy between beat writers and their local team. Silver, maybe, doesn’t follow those same courtesies because he isn’t a “usual” beat writer?
