Fire Nolan NOW
Nolan keeps repeating his stupid mistakes over and over. The 49ers keep running the big nickel packages and just got scorched deep by Moss. The 49ers never make adjustments at halftime. They run the same damn stuff in the second half. When NE spread the offense out on the goal line I was screaming at the TV that a draw was coming. They did it again with a trick play down there with Faulk taking a direct snap and running almost untouched into the endzone.
The time of possesion difference has been terrible almost every game with NE having a 2-1 ratio yesterday. Everytime they show GQ man on the sideline he has a blank stare going on like he just crapped his pants. It has been five years of this stuff and it is time to go.
Martz is almost as bad with his all out throwing the ball plays. Where is Gore? Davis? Morgan? What happend to the screen and short passes that we have come to expect here. Fire Nolan. Give it to Martz for the rest of the year. If nothing changes get someone like Schotenheimer for next year. He will at least use Gore and run the damn ball.

Rage
Yeah, I’m not down with the rage, but I do believe Nolan’s time is running out. The fact that the players talk about coming out flat, and the lack of second-half adjustments we’ve seen would seem to speak volumes on Nolan’s head coach tenure. This team rarely seems prepared, and the play is often flat. What do people here think? Is he getting canned around the bye week?

bye week
It’s hard to tell what will happen at the bye week. The team could very well be 2-6 even if they play well, given the level of competition. If the team plays hard and has chances maybe he sticks around. Firing someone midseason is tough no matter what. Although maybe then we get Singletary running things. Who really knows.

AGREED
I was at the game and couldnt agree with you more. They have the players to do the job but lack the coaches to help them. Nolan likes the bend but dont break philosophy and it has bit him in the seattle, new orleans, and new england games. the scheme needs to be thrown out w nolan and maybe martz if hes not careful. gore vanished on the 2nd half. and throw davis the damn ball so he can prove if hes a bust or not.
