Rest of the season

i know, i know we lost yesterday in a game we should have won. Yes, the defense has stunk it up the last 2 weeks. I've heard all that crap and honestly, im sick and tired of this bull. We're a young team, with only positives to come. Without a doubt, i see us winning the west. You gotta think of the rest of the season. I see us beating the eagles, cuz the eagles are battered, they've lost their best offensive player, and their defense has lost some swagger. And as far as nolan goes, the players gotta step up on game day, clements and willis aint gonna carry you guys every game. But after the eagles game, i see us losing to the giants which takes us to 3-4 heading back home against seattle. We will win against seattle without a doubt, because they absolutely stink. 4-4 heading into the bye is perfect for us. With games left against Arizona(a win), 2 games against St.Louis which 99% should be 2 guranteed wins. Games against Washington, Buffalo, and Dallas i see us losing. But we will beat the Jets, and Dolphins. 9-7, division is ours. Never stop believing, and stop with all the crap..

Realistically

We’re probably going to get stomped by the Eagles. I’m not excited to see our o-line and JTO against that defense.

hmm

the way they are playing and being coached right now, id be shocked if they went 6-10. add all of the games they have left and i have 7 losses based on how they have been performing. eagles, giants, seacocks, cowgirls, bills, dolphins and probably the redskins too.

8 wins is the most we’re going to get because we will lose to Philadelphia the seattle game will come down to the last play most likely, same with arizona we should beat the dolphins, and maybe the Jets depending on how much Brett Farve knows that offense and how much he trusts his receivers. overall record between 6-10 and 8-8 depending on how well we’ll do this month

They shouldn’t have won yesterday, in my opinion. They pretty much played (and were coached) the same way they’ve played (and been coached) all year, and that’s a level of play (and coaching) that’s good enough to lose to the Patriots, Even with Matt Cassel.

rest of the season ...

6 – @ Philadelphia – toss-up – but I do think a win is possible if Gore and O’Sullivan finally both have a good day again

7 – NYG – probable loss

8 – @ Seattle – probable win

Bye Week

9 – @ Arizona – toss up, but we will have 2 weeks to prepare for this one

10 – St. Louis – probable win

11 – @ Dallas – probable loss

12 – @ Buffalo – toss-up

13 – NYJ – toss-up

14 – @ Miami – toss-up

15 – @ St. Louis – probable win

16 – Washington – probable loss

I honestly think this is going to come down to the last month of the season. We have to do better than we did last Sunday – but I’m putting last Sunday down for just one of those bad days. An 8-8 record is really possible – we play Seattle again and St. Louis twice. The Eagles, Jets, Cardinals, Bills and Dolphins are all realistically beatable – we should be able to get 2-3 wins out of those. And as for the Giants, Cowboys and Redskins, well … don’t the Niners at least always win one of those games that we absolutely have no chance of winning?

Even after New England, I’m still rooting for 8 wins here.

Well...

at 2-3 right now, I almost have resigned myself to the fact that we’ll be 2-5 in time to face Seattle. Now, if Seattle gets healthier, that might be a tough challenge, but I think we’ve been playing them tough, and we can win that one no matter what their status is. After the bye, we can win the next 2 which can put us at 5-5 heading to dallas and buffalo. Wtih 2 probable losses there, 5-7 to the Jets, Phins, and Rams can easily make us 8-7, with a chance to win against the Skins if they lock up a playoff berth early. They are a tough team, but week 16 might be a time for them to rest up for a wildcard game.

How about 9-7 and the first Niner Division Title in a long time…

Yea...

The only thing I keep on thinking about is how week the division is. They are nowhere out of playoff contention but the way theyve been playing…they have to make adjustments and big ones if they want to go 9-7. gosh thatd be sweet! A reach but it would be great.

I agree with you.

Looking at the rest of the schedule

Unless some major shakeups occur, I think the 49ers will be the favorites in 2 games (St. Louis) with maybe Seattle being a push. That being said, anything less than 7-9 will be disappointing(although not unexpected) and a winning record would be awesome. But as far as taking it for granted that the nfc west is the worst division in football, I still see the winner of the division being 8-8 or 9-7, which won’t be that easy for our niners.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but I’m trying to be realistic.
