Golden Nuggets: No Foster, please...

Fooch's Note 8:00am: Beginning tomorrow (hopefully), James will be posting these directly to the front page on a daily basis. This will likely become the first post of almost every morning to get your day going.
Hello everyone. James here again with your now (hopefully) daily edition of Golden Nuggets. I'm going to hopefully fall into a rhythm here and get these up at a steady time. I'm still unsure of how exactly to manage my sleep pattern to allow me to post this at about the time I usually wake up, so I've again went another night without sleep. Though all is not lost, I managed to get an impressive amount of procrastinating done on my past-due essay for creative writing.
Anyway, a quick explanation of the title in that I saw a few articles about DeShaun Foster maybe starting in place of Gore and I gotta say.. no no no no no no no no no no no no no. It would be disastrous I think, and let me ease you now by letting you know pretty much everyone including Gore himself is sure that Gore will be starting against the Rams on Sunday. So here's to my second post, hope it all goes well, and I'll update it more throughout the day as this collection includes a lot of articles posted late yesterday.
And now on to the links.
The "Zebra Report" does a fairly good job of making Martz look like a fool. Personally, this is a tired issue with me. I believe that the officials did a crappy job during the course of the game, regardless of how the last minute or so was handled.
It seems Gore will be ready to play on Sunday. That's good, I don't have a whole lot of faith in Robinson and Foster to handle all the running. (Or for Foster to handle any of it, for that matter.)
Here's a little more information on Gore, how he feels, and what's going on.
And even more information on Gore! And Singletary's show of seemingly no faith in DeShaun Foster. Funny how I have none either. Can anyone here honestly say they do? Right.
Care to know whether or not Issac Bruce has any hard-feelings towards his ex-team this Sunday? Look here for some things you may or may not know about the receiver. One quote that I'm not sure what I think about is that, when talking about the development of the younger receivers the article says that "Bruce pointedly denies feeling any pride in their development." Hm.
FoxSports seems to be all over Singletary in their "Top Ten Best and Worst Coaches," Singletary comes in at number seven on the worst list. Ouch. Personally I believe that's a little silly, but what can you do? When you're 2-7 (rather, 0-2) there's going to be a slew of bad press. Lets see if I cant find some good press.
Niner Insider gives us a rare defense of Mike Martz, as well as a short intweview with Jason Hill.
49ers special teams coordinator Al Everest gets the spotlight in this article from SFGate. A lot of interesting stuff about the guy I didn't know. I feel pretty secure with our special teams play, actually, and always have.
Matt Maiocco gives us the full Q&A with Issac Bruce that has been splattered throughout the previous articles here. Man I gotta say Bruce is intense... in that weird "...O...k.." kind of way.
Third round pick for Matt Cassel? Could he be a Niner? Should he be a Niner? I don't think so. I don't like the kid one bit, but here's a short little article on it anyway.
Here's an article that hurts, though is sitll a pretty interesting read. Talks about the complexity of plays and gives one other insight as to what was going on in the mind of Martz.
Here's some good news, or at least I think it is. Singletary doesn't seem to differentiate between the receivers and what they've done in the past. He's more focused on the now, them playing, and giving them a chance. Stating that Jason Hill isn't a reserve player and Zeigler isn't just a practice-squad standout.
Scout.com tells you everything you already know about last week and this week, but hey, its a point of review.
Samuel Lam gives some insight about being a fan.
From CBS sports we have a trio of links with general quotes, information, and generally more of the same. Again, just some more wrap up/review purposes. Some interesting quotes though. The other two are labled Inside Slant and Strategy and Personnel.
Gerald Madriaga over at MercuryNews gives us a little preview for the game against the Rams.
EDIT: Ok folks there's a few more but again, not much going on today content wise. Cant even find a few decent previews. Tomorrow should be a bit bigger.
Teams Talk over at 49ers.com features (this week at least) Allen Rossum breaking down a few key points to the game on Sunday against the Rams.
Not a Niners story exactly, but Ram's Jackson is "questionable to doubtful."
It seems all the talk is still on about what happened in the final seconds of Monday's game. Move on with it, people! Give me some good, juicy previews for my segments!
Here's further confirmation that Jackson wont make it to Sunday's game against us. You know, I'm not sure I'm even scared of this guy. Have we had a running back that we needed to stop run all over us this year? I'm not so sure. If he was playing, I think we'd turn him on his ass. The good part is simply that we don't have to try to do it now.
A distraught fan. That's all I have to say really on this link.
Samuel Lam tells us that the 49ers need to take out the Rams early.
A game predictor that I didn't really look at a whole lot. It has the 49ers losing though. Some of you should definitely find it interesting.
That's all for the initial post for today so I can at least get something up by 4:30 Pacific. I've got a list of new sites to check out and I've got a few more blogs to look at. Hopefully some more articles will be posted as quite a few of these were late yesterday whereas a slew of early morning blogs should have something up pretty quick here. I'll update as the day progresses.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.
