Week 16 Prediction Contest - Remember that if you don't get predictions in for the morning games you can still enter predictions for later games and get credit.  You get credit for any predictions entered by kickoff of the given game.  So, if you forget today, you can still predict the MNF game.

Injuries
49ers: Probable - SS Michael Lewis (abdomen), KR/PR Allen Rossum (ankle), LT Joe Staley (ankle), WR Josh Morgan (head), FS Mark Roman (head), DE Ron Fields (foot); Questionable - LB Ahmad Brooks (back), RB Frank Gore (ankle), OT Adam Snyder (ankle)

Rams: Probable - K Josh Brown (groin), CB Jason Craft (back), DT La'Roi Glover (knee), G Jacob Bell (hamstring), CB Ron Bartell (back)

Alright, let's hope for a nice little blow out.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Road games are tough, but this is one where the 49ers should just take care of business.  Frank Gore is a gametime decision, but given his performance last week, I'm not too concerned about DeShaun Foster handling the rock.  I'd like to see Gore crack 1,000 yards again, but not at the expense of longterm injury.

I won't be around to get a recap up after the game, so our Golden Nuggets man Ninjames will be handling the recap immediately after the game.  I'll have something up later in the afternoon/early evening.

GO NINERS!

the official 49ers website

says Frank is OUT today

Simply by pulling on both ends, Patrick Willis can stretch diamonds back into coal

should be a good game

Easy win even without Frank Gore – the Rams are just an awful team.

Seeing as though the Warriors and Sharks won yesterday, I predict a win by both the Niners and Raiders today.

December 20th and 21st will forever go down as THE WEEKEND OF THE BAY.

GO NINERS!!!

We still believe!!

Well.....in my part of the Greater Seattle Area we've received 7 inches of snow overnight

I still miss Bay Area weather. ;-)

If the 49ers can win the last 2 games I think Singletary will be a permanent head coach and Shaun Hill is permanent starter.

The pieces are coming together and as I said before, the Arizona game completely changed the landscape of the NFC West. The 49ers could’ve won this division with a 7-9 record!

Good luck, should be an easy win.

Seattle, the world's worst sports city.

..is Clayton active?

Yes we all want Gore to break the 1,000 yard mark, but are we gonna get a chance to see what this kid can do today, finally?

It's a cloud of incompetence that's swirled around this city nearly forever

All of our pro sports teams have left or nearly left…….no one wants to be here and the teams that are here are terrible.

Seahawks

won like 25 straight divisions and were in the SB like 3 years ago. They were only bad this year because of injuries.

As for the Mariners…well yeah, they suck. We Giants fans are also crippled by an idiot GM

by bondslegend on Dec 21, 2008 9:57 AM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Very much me

Our excuse if they get to 6 first is that we haven’t ever lost one. only team to go 5-0 baby.

Yup

I always use that and when I argue with Raider fans, I say who made Jerry lose a Super Bowl? So you must have loved what happened at Texas Stadium last night.

by Golden Boy on Dec 21, 2008 9:54 AM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Oh man

you have no idea. I could not believe they gave up that first run, and then Deion is yelling that they have to onside it, then on the VERY NEXT PLAY it happens again. I could not stop laughing.

The extra bonus is I had TO in fantasy but picked the Ravens to win, so both worked out

I really, really hate the Steelers

There’s this one idiot who said the Steelers Super Bowl teams would kill our Super Bowl teams. He said Montana was never the quarterback Bradshaw was, and he said “the catch was not Dwight Clark. It was Lynn Swann.” I should give ya’ll his Myspace page to harass him. LOL

Anyone read this?

NFL.com’s Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers are likely to keep Mike Singletary as their head coach into 2009.
Schefter says the interim tag could be removed from Singletary’s name within days after the season ends. Unlike Jim Haslett in St. Louis, Singletary’s promotion to coach has had a sustained impact. He’s the right man for the job.

per Rotoworld.com

underthrow > overthrow

underthrowing means your reciever can come back for it…
overthrowing means the saftey over the top is the only guy who’s got a shot.

That’s your biggest JTO/Hill difference, I think.
