2008 NFL Draft: Tampergate pick
With OUR 5th round pick, the Stoolies selected Zackary Bowman, a DB from Nebraska. Considering the Cornhuskers were crap last year, I hope the Stoolies enjoy him. There was some quality talent the 49ers could have had there, but what are you gonna do? I certainly won't take a personal dislike to Bowman, but I think I'd rather see him fail as a Stoolie and then latch on somewhere else and become a Pro Bowler. May not happen, but a man can dream right. And to quote Mr. Thomassoulo: I'll see you in Hell Stoolies.

Bowman is actually pretty tight.
He’s one of the more underated players in this years draft. He was one of the best CB in college football as freshman but then I think he dealt with some knee injuries but his measurables looked good and if he’s over them he could be a legit shut down corner.

It wasn't our 5th Round pick anyways.
We swapped 3rds and our 5th pick was just forfieted, the Bears didn’t get it.

yeah
but they ended up picking right in the spot where we would have gone.

Could have been worse
About the whole tampering thing, it sucks don’t get me wrong, but I am thinking we got off light. Just imagine if we were stripped of a #1 pick.
