Draft Signings....

I don't think there has been any postings on this yet, but I was wondering how many draft picks do the 49'ers have signed if any at this point. Because I was at the Bears web site to see how karma has bitten them in the ass after the Lance Briggs situation and noticed a post claiming that they had signed quite a few of their picks already. But then again I haven't noticed anything during a Sportscenter broadcast either.

I don't think...

... that many players have signed altogether. It’ll probably be another week or two before they start signing in bunches. It’s always a waiting game: who’s going to make the first move and set the bar for the rest.

Question

Are players allowed to sign if they’re still in school? For some reason I have this thought that they can’t sign until they are done with classes, but I’m not sure about that.

Good point.

It’s definitely a possibility. They aren’t able to participate in the offseason program before they finish school, but that’s because the NFL wants them to finish school. I don’t see how signing the contract before hand would affect that, unless the player is so lazy that he can’t finish that last month of classes.
