Although offseason training activities are in full swing for the 49ers, things are still relatively quiet. A new feature I've decided to add is what we'll call "Taking a Stroll Around SB Nation" (copyright pending, other suggestions welcome). SBN Football has been lucky to recruit some solid writers and I thought now is as good a time as any to feature some of the stylings of our various writers. I've been linked by many of the other sites and I figure I'll return the favor. I'm hoping to turn this into a semi-regular feature. Also, for those interested in seeing more SB Nation work, head on over to SB Nation's homepage (http://www.sbnation.com) to see the latest and greatest work around the network.
Big Cat Country (Jaguars) decided to take a look at a continually perpetuated rumor that the Jaguars might relocate to LA. This type of issue has raised it's ugly head with the 49ers as they battle for a new stadium, so it's certainly a little more relevant.
Cincy Jungle (Bengals) has had to deal with the on-going soap opera that is Chad Johnson for months now. Check out their plea to Mike Brown to get their house in order and take care of business.
Mile High Report (Broncos) has their MHR University discussing "Creating a Roster/Depth Chart." This is certainly good timing as we just put together a 53-man roster and practice squad. They've included a breakdown of which players are situational vs. every down vs. spelling certain guys.
Behind the Steel Curtain (Steelers) takes a look at their 2006 playoff victory over the Colts and particularly comparing it to their 1964 playoff victory over the Browns.
It's amazing the things people can come up with when there just isn't much to talk about concerning the current season.
Big Blue View (Giants) thinks it might be time to send Jeremy Shockey packing. Considering they won the Super Bowl without him, this is not the craziest of notions.
Stampede Blue (Colts) was interviewed by the folks over at footballguys.com. I haven't spent a lot of time at Football Guys, but it seems like a pretty solid site. The SB Nation crew is definitely moving up in the world as more and more interviews come in.
Music City Miracles (Titans) has been running an interesting feature involving media approval ratings. Deadspin has been doing this for all media members, but MCM is looking specifically at Titans writers and announcers. I'm intrigued and may have a new idea to steal!
