Complete Madden 2009 49ers

I'm not exactly sure what system these ratings are for, but I'm assuming it's at least the PS3/XBox360, as there are some "advanced" attributes there. I don't know if the Wii version this season is going to have those same advanced attributes (finally), but I hope so.

What a rip!

Seriously, Willis’s speed is only a 91? Booo!!!

I also feel highly ripped off that the Madden series is no longer available for the PC, which is where I play my games. So I’m now stuck with Madden ‘07. Which is still fun, because I just do fantasy drafts anyway, and look to turn over the roster as quickly as possible, starting with a horrible team so I can make it a challenge.

Did that make sense?

I do the same thing

Just don’t like seeing other teams with random players.
I do fantasy drafts just for the drafts (balancing a roster), and rarely play seasons.

When actually playing, usually prefer starting with bad teams (yay, I still use the 49ers) and slowly add talent

Perfect sense.

I generally play the first 10 to 15 seasons in franchise mode with the 49ers, after which, I choose one of the sorriest teams in the league and man both the 49ers and that new team. My 49ers team should be pretty well established at that time, so I can spend most of my energies rebuilding that other franchise.

This year, I took over the 2-14 Patriots. Two years into it, I’ve got them back to 7-9. The overall morale of a team plays such a huge role in rebuilding. Its easy to sign the top free agents when you’re winning. When your team sucks, though, you can throw all the money at a player in the world and their “desire to be with [insert team name here]” meter stays ridiculously low. A challenge nonetheless.

Anyone else upset with

Balmer’s ranking? I think he should start off a little higher than a 76 overall. And Bam Bam should be at least a 98 if not a 99! I guess you could make him a 99 with those preseason mini-camp drills, but still!
