Quarterback Battle: 49ers vs. Bears
In the 80s the headline San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears could have forced NFL fans everywhere to tune in and watch two of the best teams play. Regardless of the Super Bowl Shuffle, Mike Ditka’s Bears were a force to be reckoned with. Then came the 49ers and Walsh with the West Coast Offense that revolutionized the league.
What does this matchup mean tonight in preseason? It could be otherwise known as “Can we please find our quarterback?” While the Bears have announced Kyle Orton as their starter at the beginning of the season, and the 49ers have all but named J.T. O’Sullivan as theirs, do they actually like where they stand?
