Week 2 Prediction Game: The Results

Let me tell you, I can't think of a more appropriate way to celebrate an exciting 49er win against a division opponent than totally kicking all of your asses at my own game. And in my head, that's exactly what happened. In my head, you're all surprised to find that I came away with six perfect predictions and was awarded the Niners Nations Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence, got a totally free T-shirt, and ran off to Paris with my girlfriend to live the rest of our lives freeloading off the unsuspecting French.

That's not what happened in real life, though. In real life, what happened was probably a little closer to the way this all turned out in wjackalope's head. As for how the rest of us did, check it out immediately following the jump.

Collectively, this week had a heck of a lot more action than last week. I guess actually getting a few games right goes a long way, doesn't it?

wjackalope's (or as I like to call him when he does jerky stuff like win, wjerkalope's) victory here really goes without saying, so with that in mind I expect nobody to say anything about it. More importantly, I think we should all appreciate my own ascencion, from being tied for 17th at the end of week one to catapulting myself into a tie for 5th in week two. Some guy at the top had better watch out because at this pace I'll be in -7th place in no time.

Being a little less self indulgent, though, I'd like to welcome mojorisin' to the games. Not only was this mojorisin''s (how do you put a possessive on that...?) first week playing, it was also a succesful campaign. He's thrown himself right into the middle pack, and I'm excited to see how he performs going forward.

I'd also like to give special metion to Niner Fan in WI. A newcomer to the games this season, Wisconsonboy really brought the heat this week, and put himeself in great position right at the top. So congratulations to Niner Fan in WI. And keep up the good work!

And it wouldn't be a Results Thread if I didn't mention Fooch. So there's that, too.
