Personally I think he was taking the team in the right direction although they definitely had some issues late in games. Over at Silver and Black Pride Saint seems happy with it.

Can Al Davis fire Nolan like Kiffin and not pay him the rest of the season? It is sad that a Hall of Fame owner has fallen so far. Ah screw that the Raiders suck.

Saint
Has been accused of being a homer by several on his own site. I’m not sure that I’d trust his judgement. I believe that Kiffin has the ability to be a solid head coach in the NFL, much like Shanahan became after his short-lived time under the Davis regime.
If you look at the games that Oakland has lost, how can you not blame it on defensive collapse? Expanding on that, it is hardly Kiffin’s fault that his defensive coordinator and boss were scite at making defensive adjustments in the second half. I’m all for Kiffin, and I hope he lands a good job with a good owner.
Please let Knapp be the new head coach
The guy was absolutely horrible as a coordinator, and I’d love to see him continue the tradition of ineptitude in Oakland!
Never forget: I am a complete idiot
For some reason, I just assumed you meant Gwenn.

He'd likely...
… go back to SC or something for a year or two. I think abusing the college ranks is something he’s good at and he should do that until he gets a more “ideal” situation to jump back in as an NFL head coach.
I’ve heard rumors that Syracuse is hot for Kiffin.

Rumors, so far
The Syracuse Post Standard has been reporting for nearly a month that the AD would potentially hire Kiffin to replace current head coach Greg Robinson. However, speculation seems to have settled since the actual firing. Personally, I think it’d be tough to get another West Coast guy to make the move to such a struggling program. But, it would certainly give him the opportunity to add a real ‘program turnaround’ to his resume, at a time when he could really use one. Kiffin’s ties to the AD suggest that it would make a lot of sense.
i take it im one of the only few
that appreciates the irony of kiffin being replaced by a former ucla offensive coordinator?
