Playoff Prediction Games: Round 3

FOOCH'S NOTE 10:55AM: Don't forget to get your picks in before tomorrow's games. Also, if get a minute today, check in on my live blog of the Shrine Game. It won't be down by down, but more just as useful information comes along. More to come...
______________________________________
And the games roll on. Things are tighter than ever and the grand finale is only three weeks away. Everybody can still play and, quite literally, everybody is still very, very in this. For the conference championship round, the games to be played are:
Philadelphia @ Arizona - Sun., Jan. 18, 12:00 PST
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - Sun., Jan. 18, 3:30 PST
That's it for the week. it's getting down to the wire, so make sure that you get your picks in. And do your best to make the most of it. Feel free to simply post your predictions within the thread.
Those in the tourney, however, skip past the jump for details:
For: Ninerfromacrossthepond, wjackalope, albertoleecho, and StrictlyFootball:
In what is currently a vaguely flawed system (one that will be heartily remedied next season), either one of the tourney matchups can actually be decided before the Super Bowl week. All you have to do is sweep this week and the game is yours. If not, though, you have two extra weeks to agonize over what it might take to get that elusive victory.
To be clear: The final round includes both the Conference Championship round and the Super Bowl. You have 3 games in 3 weeks to decide this thing. There will be no yardage tiebreaker this week, as the tiebreak game will go to the Super Bowl. So, things are simple: just make your predictions, and make them good.
Fooch should e-mail you with a reminder of your matchup. You can also just e-mail him anytime this week with your predictions. Your matchups, gentlemen:

Best of luck to all.

Philadelphia @ Arizona – 23 – 28
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh – 16 – 7
Simply by pulling on both ends, Patrick Willis can stretch diamonds back into coal
Eagles, are playing very hot, but so is Arizona. I think this game is going to matter on which Mcnabb shows up. I believe the Defense will show up and if they put enough pressure on Warner they might be able to steal this one from Arizona.

I don't think either game is particularly close.
Philadelphia @ Arizona: 24 – 9 (Arizona is good at home, but I think the Eagles just match up way, way too well in this game)
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh: 7 – 21 (Baltimore = Defense; Pittsburgh = Defense + Offense + Homefield)
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.
Better double check my scores now when the results come back
THIS IS FOR YOU, BVCE!
Philadelphia @ Arizona – 30 – 20
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh – 16-14

#1 Ninerfromacrossthepond vs. #2 wjackalope
#1 – Ninerfromacrossthepond
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh 13-23 – Watched the Titans/Ravens last week-what a game-and thought the Ravens started to look like a beat up team. Also, they have over-protected Flacco throughout the playoffs thus far and I don’t think they can do this on sunday and win.Think its a game too far for them.
Philadelphia @ Arizona – 23-27 – Started with the AFC game cos the NFC game is, for me, too close to call. Have been thinking on this one all week and finally come to a decision.Mentioned in Josh’s preview article that I think this game will come down to how well the Cards o-line protect Warner.Boldin coming back is huge as it gives them 2 WR threats and could be the difference. A good start by the Cards will give them belief and I think they hang on – just.Really worried about this one though.
#2 – wjackalope
Philadelphia @ Arizona – 28-24
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh – 14-17
good game NFATP
and by good I mean not so good because it wasn’t at all close and you completely dominated me.
Congratulations. You have proven to be the best. Well played.
Still defending Rich Aurilia, and the Niners' classic unis
Thanks,
I think I was just lucky. I mean, you deserved the reg season win – I only got it cos of those 2 exact predictions in Dec just luck. You were the most consistent player. Glad to see you get a prize also.

Philadelphia @ Arizona 24-28
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh 17-13
#4 StrictlyFootball
Philadelphia @ Arizona – 24-30
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh – 17-24
So both matchups have already been decided?
I hope I can hang on to the free for all lead…but I doubt it.
