Is Everything Okay in Ninerland?
This makes a good point. Even if Linehan wasn't the answer, why aren't the best coaches lining up to take this gig, and why is this taking so damn long?

Did you seriously Fanshot something you wrote on your blog? And then say “This makes a good point” as though you were simply agreeing with someone else’s wisdom? Weak, dude. Why didn’t you post it as a Fanpost or just own up to writing it?
Regardless, I would think this isn’t too much of a concern. We do have an anemic offense, we were 7-9, and we have very specific wants. Plus, it’s not like there’s a plethora of candidates out there who’ve turned us down. Linehan turned us down because St. Louis is closer, and maybe because he’ll have more freedom (no Sing in SL) and lower expectations. It certainly wasn’t because their offense is better.
I don’t think the lack of someone in the OC spot at the moment is something to worry about. If they weren’t looking for people and interviewing people, if they were being turned down by a ton of people, I’d be worried. As is, I’m just hoping they take their time and make the right choice.
