Vintage/vintagesque jerseys
FOOCH'S NOTE 5:55pm: I'm a big fan of throwback jerseys so I thought I'd move this to the front page. Can anybody help with this?
______________________________________________
Does anybody know a website that manufactures or can source retro-style football jerseys? I'm desperately looking for someone who can make a late 50s or early 60s style Niner jersey.
Something like this:
via www.sportscards4all.com
or this:
via storesense1.carrierzone.com
Please don't suggest Mitchell & Ness for three reasons:
1) They're $300 and up. I'm looking more in the 100-175 range.
2) I don't want a specific player's jersey - it could be number 5 or 85, I don't care.
3) They don't sell any 50s/60s Niner jerseys anyway.
I haven't found anything online (it seems if I wanted to do baseball it would be easy, but there seems to be very little market for retro football gear besides helmets), and I'm hoping against hope someone here knows someone who does such a thing.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Jerseys through Nextag.com
Here’s a site with tons of different 49ers jerseys. I went through the first 11 pages and didn’t find it, but there are still a bunch of pages to go.

Nothin'..
…For some reason M&N used to do Dave Wilcox jerseys (which would have been drop-dead perfect) and Hugh McElhenny jerseys but no longer.
It’s weird how you can find helmets easily though. Check out this bad boy:

55 Hugh McElhenny helmet . Yours for $300. We should all chip in and share it with each NN member getting it for a day, kind of like how guys who win the Stanley Cup all get it for a day apiece.

Not ALWAYS throwbacks, but....
This website takes all the unclaimed ebay jerseys and sells them for dirt cheap. and I mean DIRT cheap ($18-$25). The letters are all sewed on, and the jerseys are good quality (I have several, I like very much).
If you are like me, and have a goal of having at least one jersey from every single NFL team, this is the place to begin collecting.
Otherwise, just shop ebay, they have really good deals too.
Blind devotion.

Speaking of jersey's not sold out
I had to laugh at this one. I’m from CT. My girlfriend took my on a short vacation this past Dec. to San Fran for the Jets game (my 2nd Niners game, 1st in SF). A couple of days before the game we headed to Pier 39 and saw a sign saying something like 60% or 70% off of select Jerseys at the NFL shop. My girlfriend, who I have just turned into a football and 49ers fan quickly quips, “probably O’Sullivan jerseys.” We laugh, go walking around a bit, and on our way out of the pier, we stop at the shop. The rack with those 60 or 70% off jersey, Smith and O’Sullivan.
I guess not that great of a story, but I find it funny that my girlfriend, who at around the 5th game of the season had been a football fan for less than a year (I got her into it sometime the season before) could tell that the “best QB Martz ever coached” was not that good.
