Exit Interview: FSU DE/OLB Everette Brown
Hey 9er fans, I know you guys might be in the market for an edge rusher in the upcoming draft.
FSU's Everette Brown is the 2nd coming of Demarcus Ware.
Here's our article: http://www.tomahawknation.com/2009/1/8/713642/exit-interview-everette-br 'm not sure if it came through in the article, but Brown is probably the best character guy on the Seminoles. The coaches just rave about the guy. He comes from a great family and is a tireless worker. Definitely not the kind of guy who would disgrace an organzation. Oh, and that 21 years old 6'4" 255, 4.55 40yd doesn't hurt.
Good lucl and feel free to stop by if you have any questions on ACC prospects.

Thanks
Good to get a scouting report on him. I’m curious though where he’s going to go. He’s projected middle to late in the first round so unless the 49ers trade down in the first, trade up from the second or he falls to them in the second, I don’t see the 49ers grabbing him.

I've heard he could go as high as the top 10
He might be a guy the Niners will really have to consider.

I would agree
I liked this comment from the FSU site:
My wife had Everette, when he was a freshman, in one of the classes she taught. She would rave about what a genuinely good kid he was, and how he really set himself apart from all of the other students in the class (athletes and non-athletes). He was interested in his studies and wanted to major in social work because he saw that as a way to do something good for society. And he followed through on his goals even though he was being teased by coaches and players for being a bookworm. He is just a kid with great character.
Of course I wanted to see how good he was on the field, and when we went to the spring game that year I must have called his number at least half a dozen times or more as he was in the backfield all day long. I took two things from that day: our offense was going to continue to struggle, and #99 was going to be a star. We’ve been rooting for him and calling his number out every time he does something good, which is often, ever since.
It’s obviously not terribly important from a football skill perspective, but it’s still nice to hear about the athletes who are great people as well. I’d imagine Singletary is big into character guys.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realized God doesn’t work that way, so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness. - Emo Philips

I’ve seen a lot more projections with him going top 11, then middle-late 1st.

Perfect OLB in a 3-4 scheme
I definitely see the Demarcus Ware comparison, he is always attacking and seems to have a good motor. He’s already used to wearing Red and Gold… I’m a FAN!
Joe and Steve were under the same system for years... don't expect Smith to be super so soon.

I cannot believe people have not talked about this guy. Somebody is going to be a happy man when they have drafted him.
