Random Football thoughts
Yes Crabs has signed! Weeks and weeks and months of waiting and it is done. But now how in the hell does MC Hammer put this all together. Thats like asking a divorced priest to marry you. Mc Hammer? Isn't that the guy who blew millions and went bankrupt? Well all I need is for Mc hammer to give some touchdown dance tips for crabs and hopefully we see a lot of those dances.
Michael Vick has been quiet lately. Not much vick news except for that all of the sudden I have seen a bunch of vick falcon jerseys around my neighborhood. The Falcons are in town. Is it bad that I threaten my dog that I will send him to Michael Vicks house if he keeps barking or stealing my food from the table? So not only did Vick abuse dogs, but he also stopped dog abuse because instead of hitting my dog I threaten him to send them to Vicks concentration camp. Good job vick.
Deion Sanders is starting a lot of drama all over the world. Neon Deion is all over the place starting crap. He is like the Michael Jackson of football. He doesn't touch them but he invites them to sleep over and play and stuff. If i was a college player I would have my parents sue him and settle for the thousands left in his bank account.
Tom Cable trying to Godfather the raiders organization by giving players and assistants offers they cannot refuse. Being a boss myself there has been many times(jokingly or am i) that businesses should start using Godfather techniques to jumpstart there business. Many times I have just wanted to kick the ass of one of my coworkers and Tom Cable did it and the interesting thing he still has a job. Maybe he can find a partner, go up to the office of Al davis, tell him his brains or his signature will be on this contract to sell the damn team.
Thank you Braylon Edwards for stealing the Crabtree signings mojo and I would also like to thank Mike Singletary for getting my team into shape. Thank you Jed York for shedding light on the 49ers organization. Thank you NFL redzone for giving me a cheap way to watch every game. Redzone is awesome if anybody wondered about the channel.

Thank you ....
…Vernon Davis for realizing that football is a team sport, and living up to your potential.
Thank you Shawn Hill for doing everything that’s asked of you, even though I suspect that you can do more.
Thank you Patrick Willis for being a ravenous, baby eating monster on the field, and then having the class to be humble about it while picking your teeth after the game.
Thank you Carolina for having the courtesy to maximize our draft pick next year.
Thank you Fortyniners for not breaking my heart this year, and making me feel proud for being loyal thru the dark times.
I’m loving ’09.

Carolina is scaring me! LOL
We’re going to have way too high a pick for them? I have them pegged at 7-9 range of pick but that was hoping they could kick some redskin booty LOL

Glad Crabtree signed before the falcons game
He would have held out forever had he seen this.

Thank you Derek Anderson for proving that quarterback CAN go 2/17 for 23 yards with an interception and still be a winner.
Man, that might be the worst line I’ve ever seen from anybody at a professional level. My word.
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

Worst ever?
Do you mean in a winning effort? Because otherwise, how quickly you forget Cody Pickett against the Bears in 2005: 1/13 for 28 yards and an interception.

NICE pull there!
I’d be interested to know who had the better QB Rating of the two. :P

I'm glad you asked
We can still find Cody Pickett’s stats at ESPN.com through old game logs on his player page.
Pickett in 2005: 7.5 rating
Anderson yesterday: 15.1
So Anderson doubled Pickett’s rating. WOW

Well, I guess if my understanding of QB rating is right (based on Ronaldinho’s analysis elsewhere), a completion is counted as the same as 20 yards. So Pickett had 1 completion = 20 yards + 28 yards = 48 yards and an INT. Anderson had 2 completions = 40 yards + 23 yards = 63 yards and an INT. The INTs cancel out, and so it’s Pickett 48 / Anderson 63. 2/17 is a better comp. % than 1/13, so advantage Anderson there, too.
I guess, yeah. However, QB Rating fails to incorporate whether or not your last name is also a fence, and Cody has the clear advantage there.

What I really need is for Danny to give me a DVOA analysis.
