Adam Snyder loses RT job
Tony Pashos will move to RT and Snyder will alternate with Rachal at RG.
Sounds like a great move to me.
They don't have to bring in Wragge and can put Snyder in his more natural G position.

Was speculating on this happening late last night
Good move, in my opinion. Now if only we could get David Baas to learn how to block in space.

I think it's a smart move too
Hopefully Rachal can develop some more this year.

Rachal did well when he was in last season Hopefully this will give him a little more time to learn and grow.
The OL needs some stability and should inprove if Pashos plays a good RT.

Interesting
I think Rachal needs a wakeup call that being benched can provide. Sharing with Snyder may not bring that.
As for Snyder, he never gets to focus on one position. Perhaps Guard should have been that position. If Rachal had not regressed, would Snyder be an upgrade over Baas?

Yes.
Baas’ problem isn’t his strength or his head, it’s his footwork, one of the few areas Snyder could be good in. Whenever Baas has to adjust and run around and stop a back from getting hit, he seems to trip over himself.

So the regression of Rachal
Is hitting us twice. Plus the numerous pass plays that never happened due to his matador blocking.

I always thought Snyder would work better at LG for the Niners
Staley, Snyder, Heitman and Pashos with Rachal battling Baas for the RG position, is how I would have done things, not that I’m a coach or anything.

I'd happily go with that
These guys are not talentless. We could do better a couple positions but they are certainly under-performing. If this lineup shakeup gets the same results as before (after giving them a few weeks to adapt and jell) I think the only place left to look will be the OL coach. Looking at all the games yesterday, there are plenty of teams whose linemen are no better than ours yet who are more consistent as a unit.

Agree.
I’m kind of ashamed, the 49ers o-line coach is one guy I know nothing about, yet I can give you in depth profiles on most of our other position coaches. Oh well.

In another post there was a list of Foerster's record for OL sacks as a OLcoach.
It wasn’t pretty.
I think Florida Danny did that entry

So the OL shuffle begins
Although this move was long in coming I am not convinced we have the right personal yet.. We need the OL to perform better for pass protection and run blocking other than that we are in good shape {:-)

As much as wanted for Rachal and Snyder to succeed at their positions,
something had to be done. If Coaching just sat back and expected different results every week, they would be insane.

Good Move
Snyder is the teams best guard option. Like I posted a week ago, there probably isn’t a big difference between Snyder and Pashos at RT but their could be a big difference between Snyder and Rachal.

I suspect this has more to do with Rachal than Snyder ...
… but we’ve got our work cut out for us.
OTOH, Oher had a terrible game, FWIW – though he’d been looking good all season ’til now. Makes me feel a little better, and always a reminder, never judge a draft right away.

He's a rookie playing LT in Minny against Jared Allen
He deserves some credit for not wetting the bed cause that’s what typically happens.

He started at LT for the first time this season right?
He had been playing well at RT before.
He handled Jared Allen on quite a few plays.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

I think it was his second game at LT, their LT went down when we got our butts kicked.

Lesson for Rachal to learn.

Still hope Rachal bounces back
He’s got talent but hasn’t produced this year. This move should provide a wake-up call.
