If Crabtree decides to ultimately re-enter the NFL Draft, do the 49ers recieve any compensation for the loss of the 2009 # 10 pick

I am curious as to what happens to our 2009 #10 pick. Are we just supposed to swallow that. Consider it a loss, and move on? Does the NFL consider providing us with an aditional draft pick in the 2010 draft? What is the deal? I really wish we could have used that pick on someone who actually woulsd eventually play for our team. Brian Orakapo, anyone. Do we just lose out totally. If so I think it is unfair to the organization. We were one of the worse OFFENSIVE team in 2009. We needed improvement as much as any of the other team in the bottom half. We are playing with only, Glen Coffe who isn't much of a factor yet, Curtis Taylor, and Ricky-Jean Francois who are both 7th round choices, and Scott Mckillop who is only a special teams player. The only Free Agent aquisitions made worth noting were Dre Bly who doesn't even start, and Demetreas Evans who has provided no impact to our team. One bright spot may be Brandon Jones who has shown a lot of upside in training camp. If he reurns at 100% we will deinitely need him. The other was signing Moran Norris who was solid for us in the 2006 campaign wich seems like eons ago. Outside of these guys ,we are playing with the same roster from last year. I would like to see Kory Sheets get put on the roster in Gore's absence. Also Tony Pashos should be implimented into the O-Line. Who does he replace? I would suggest David Baas. The m ost improved area for the 49ers has been the coaching staff..

I have heard all the talk about not spreading the offense into a four wideout set. This is not a wise commitment. We should take a page from Mike Martz' book, and look to be more versitile on offense. Shawne Hill, and the O-Line seemed to prosper last season with the spread offense. We should be more open minded with that. Also I replayed the Favre TD over, and over. All I could think was why would a slow db such as Mark Roman be left man to man on a speedster like Greg Lewis, and why weren't we in a more traditional PREVENT defense? At the end of the day I suppose that's why I am in the relocation business, and not coaching in the NFL. But my spirits are up this years as we are "MAKING STRIDES" to become a respectable, winning team. Thank Coach Singletary. I do see drastic improvements although we will be hard pessed without Frank" The Tank" Gore in the line up...Get well Frank. Hopefully Coffe can show us what he's working with and hold it down till Frank is back in business. Stelf Bombz...Peace
