49ers-Rams: Final Injury Report

We've got the final injury report for the week and aside from the surprisingly large number of probable 49ers, nothing too out of the ordinary.  Marc Bulger didn't practice this week, so I'd speculate that his questionable is more on the side of doubtful.  I suppose we'll just have to wait and see on Sunday.  I'd certainly like a crack at Kyle Boller if possible.  Whomever the Rams run out at QB, they'll certainly be hoping that Alex Barron can play.

On defense, the Rams could be without half their starting secondary.  It's not like the 49ers have a strong passing attack, but this might be an incentive to go to the air just a little bit more.

49ers

Rams

That's fantasy news?!?

Never use a big word where a diminutive alternative would suffice.

Let the Good times ROLL!!

The “Silence of the Lambs” is truly deafening this year. But they are still an NFL team looking for a win. There are no freebies in Football. The Lambs will most certainly not want to go 0 – 4, so they will more than likely play like their season is on the line. I hope that Singletary drives that point home to the team all week, and come Sunday they take their anger over losing against the Vikings out on the Lambs. Are the Lambs really starting Ray Bolger from the Wizzard of OZ at QB ?? If they are, good!! Because the guy playing QB for the Lambs come Sunday is better off being made of straw because of the pounding they are gonna take.

I am hoping that THIS is the week RAYE opens up the offense a little bit. Hill has proven that he understands ball security. So now it is time for Hill to shine! He has 2 new options at wideout. Brandon Jones and Jason Hill. Shawn Hill had a real good rapport with Jones durring the mini camps and camp, and he was well on his way to developing a rapport with Jason Hill at the end of last season. This might help Shawn Hill to start taking shots downfield to wide receivers that can actually get OPEN.

I really think the conservative approach Raye has been going with has been due in large part to the lack of talent they went into the last 3 games with at wide receiver. Only Issac Bruce is worthy of mentioning of the receivers we have been going with the last 3 games. But now with Brandon Jones ( poss #1 receiver on this team ) and Jason Hill back, perhaps the passing game will look a little better. Also, Vernon Davis is gonna cause havoc in the Lambs Secondary, and that should get us a few more one on one oppertunities for our receivers. Those 3 and Coffee coming out of the backfield to receive should make our aerial assault a bit more potent.

I’m not looking past the Lambs. They are dangerous. A winless team looking to get off the shnide. They are gonna be scrappy and be playing with a lot of emotion and desperation because they dont want to keep doing the O fer ever crap every week. This would be a great game to have Shawn Hill throw his way out of his recent funk that has kept his passing yard totals so very low.

The Lambs look like they are coming in pretty banged up. Even their starter at QB might be a gametime decision. Kyle Bowler, or Ray Bulger (the scarecrow from the Wizzard of OZ for you younger men…), I dont believe it matters much to Patric Willis and company. Whoever it is, he better have his chinstrap on tight. The Niner’s snached defeat from the jaws of victory last week, and I’m sure the coach has been in their ears all week about no letdown and no looking past this game. The Niners are not good enough to look past anyone. Whoever is behind center for the Lambs is gonna end up on his behind early and often Come Sunday. Greg Manuski has this defense believing they can compete with anybody, and they are angry as hell that they got showed up last week at the end of a game that they played very hard in and deserved to win. They got a little tired, the “Prevent Win Defense” was called, and a Future HOF 1st ballot inductee caught Mark Roman napping. The defense is only as strong as the weakest link.

I don’t think even healthy the Lambs would have been good enough to beat the Niners. The 49er defense is just playing out of their minds. Manny Lawson is starting to look like the kid we drafted all growed up!! Clements and Spencer are playing very good ball right now. We have the best linebackers in the league, and the best defensive player in the NFC in Patrick Willis. The Defense has not allowed a running back to gain over 100 yards this season. They even shut down the great A.P. I think Coffee will get the offense percolating (pun intended). Reciving Corps healthy and all together finally. I really think Brandon Jones is gonna explode in this game. With the powerful Vernon Davis starting to supernova right before our eyes, a lot of attendtion will be going his way. If Shawn Hill is ever gonna have a big day throwing the ball, it will be this Sunday.

The Lamb’s offense is not firing on all cylinders yet this season. they put up 17 points last week in a loss to the Packers. The other 2 games they played, they scored a combined 7 points. They lost to a REAL BAD Redskins team in week 2. Their offense appears to run thru Stephan Jackson. He had over a hundred yards last week and the Niners have been shutting down the opposition’s running game pretty good this year. Willis and Spikes might just be the best inside linbacking duo in the conference. So much of the game will be decided on how well the Lambs can move the ball thru the air, and how well the Niners offense runs.

The Lambs are 28th in total yards allowed from scrimage. They are ripe for busting open a can of whopazz on !! This will be a good game for Jimmy Raye to see what he has in Shawn Hill, and what Shawn can do in this offense. I believe Raye will be less predictable this game, going a more 50/50 run/pass and rev up the engine a little. Shawn Hill has proven his critics wrong so far. He has made plays when the team needed plays to be made. His drive to take the lead in the 4th Quarter against one of the best defense in the NFC was impressive to say the least. How good will he do against the 28th best defense in the league? We will all get to see on Sunday !!

Another year, another chance to hope for the team !!
