My Pictures from 49ers @ Texans
Fooch's Note: Thanks to Pete for getting some great pictures at the game.
Pictures from the debut of Michael Crabtree at Houston Texans. A good friend scored us pre-game sideline passes and I was able to get some great shots.
Enjoy!

Great pics, StereoPete
Love the one of TKO – were you that close to him or did you just have a great zoom?!
The one of Hill and Franklin would make a good caption competition.
SH: “Have a good game, man. Sure glad you’re on my team so I don’t have to worry about you coming after me, big fella.”
AF: “Thanks dude. And don’t worry – after half-time in this game, we won’t be on the same team for the whole rest of the season …”

Thanks London...
I was right there up close and personal, maybe 4 feet from him when I took that pic. It was the coolest experience!! I had to zoom like crazy for most of the Crabtree pictures (hence the quality isn’t quite as good)….
LOL @ the caption idea. I never thought of that. U could also do the one with Hill and Smith heading onto the field.
Hill:“Lord, don’t let me screw this one up…”
Smith: “Lord, I love him, but let him get creamed right away…”

Are you on Twitter?
You should Tweet Takeo with these pics – he always replies to his fans on there.
And Fooch – use one or two of Pete’s pics in a Cap Comp!

caption contest
I’ll see what I can come up with. The caption this is temporarily postponed until we get some things squared away.

Fooch, a suggestion ...
… Forgive me if I’m straying into sucking-eggs territory here, but is it worth a separate page linked from your top-level navigation, which would be a page of useful 49er links?
It could have:
- a NinersNation Flickr page which anyone going to games could post to. Pete used his own Flickr page here, but you can keep them open so anyone can post, and you’d just need to moderate out the odd silly one, I guess.
- A list of cool Niners clips people find on YouTube. There’s so many out there, but they’re not gathered anywhere. You could embed the best ones on this page.
- Links to Twitter. I don’t know if everyone saw but Twitter launched a new service called Lists last night, and I (and a bunch of other geeks) created a 49ers list with all the players on it (and NinersNation Twitter feed of course!)
All of that might be useful for folks to have access to. But equally it would take traffic away from your own site, and therefore dollars from SB Nation advertising. So maybe not viable.
But just a thought. Feel free to tell me to not poke my nose in – you’re doing a very fine job of running this brilliant website without me getting involved ;)
London.

Thanks for the suggestion
Just did that. We’ll see if he notices.

+1000
I commented about this in the offseason, when Fooch was asking for ideas on posts. This coupled with the demographic post is why. I’m in New Mexico and can not easily make it to games so pics from those that make it to games is great. And there those from across the pond like LondonNiner that could even see more to this than I.
I do have Sunday Ticket so I can watch the 9ers every week. But the sights that the fans get actually there I cannot see. I would love to see the NN tailgating and such. (And hope to join some of you at some point.)
The cap com is also a great idea.

Reminds me of the feeling of being at a game.
