49ers-Rams Open Thread #2

  Th_rams_icon_medium @ 49ers_logo_medium

Due to a prior commitment I am just now about to start watching the game from the beginning (thank you DVR!).  Florida Danny will be providing the recap for you after the game as I'll still be watching the game.  I did check and noticed that the first thread is filling up, so I thought a new thread was worth opening.  If you're one of the first people to post in this thread, would you please post this link in the previous game thread?  Thanks.

GO NINERS!

Where've you been?

Our D-line has really been good the whole season.

by smileyman on Oct 4, 2009 2:54 PM PDT up reply actions

pass rush doesn't always equal D-line pressure.

The vast majority of our pressure has come from blitzes.

On that play, we rushed 4 down linemen, and Boller had a pocket. He just decided to panic and fall down into the arms of a defender who was being blocked pretty well.

My pessimism goes to the point of suspecting the sincerity of the pessimists.

Agreed.

We’re playing down to our opponent’s level…this was supposed to be our chance to score some points and build confidence against a weak team. Instead, we’re destroying morale by letting them hang around despite the fact that they aren’t even doing that well.

i'm sure singletary will find things to complain about in the post-game press conference.

its called the first half.

I take full responsibility for my irresponsibility.

agreed.

and i’m not saying there isn’t room to improve (e.g the offense). singletary’s job is to find room for improvement. but i won’t complain about a 35-0 win.

Lots to complain about

Awful 1st half by the offense . . . truly awful

by bignerd on Oct 4, 2009 4:05 PM PDT up reply actions

yes, i agree

but 35-0 is a sterling outcome. enjoy it for 10 minutes, then we can all discuss the ample room for improvement.

also, to win by that margin and have room to get better? also a good thing

i'm doing good in the prediction games so far:

i said niners 38-0 over rams, niners won 35-0.
i said saints over jets 24-12, saints won 24-10.
i said denver over dallas 10-9, game’s tied at 10 with 2 mins left.

I take full responsibility for my irresponsibility.

denver just got a TD.

lol cowboys. lol seahawks with the broncos pick. lol panthers giving their pick to the niners and then losing to the cowboys. lol.

I take full responsibility for my irresponsibility.
