Week Four Prediction Games: The Surprisingly Whelming Results
I'm late. I'm tired. I'm busy. I'm making this quick. Sorry. It's more fun for me when I take the time to riff in these things. I'll give you the short version, though.
Someone's a jerk. I'm awesome. You guys really picked the Chargers a lot. And let me tell you, that probably saved me a good 10 minutes of data entry. There's a puppy in my house! It's not mine. There is a chance that it will be winning the prediction games at the end of this thread. Because, much like He-Man, I HAVE THE POWER! And if I want, the puppy can get 45 points this week.
Whatever. Here's the scores:

Boy, a lot of people did really well this week. Congrats first to ro128487, who notched a perfect prediction this week - and in one of the major underdog games, too! How does it feel riding that bad boy of a prediction straight to a top 5 spot?
Congratulations also go to nocal81, MontanaPass, Joshpreet, JoeO, ar4gsw (had one our best days of the week!), bonbrillio, Florida Danny, and anybody else I've missed.
Regarding Danny, I just want to point out that our resident STATS NERD, who "spotted" us two weeks in the game by not playing until last week, has now climbed over nearly half of the competition (including groug!). Maybe he does know what he's doing here. If you give him the benefit of the doubt for those two missing weeks, he's in the top-ten easy. Can we hold him off? I don't know. I kind of want to see STATS win out fair and square for once.
LULZ go to... well... you guys know who you are.
I'm out. Here's a link that might confuse you:

Hey man, you moved up from 55 last week. Just 50 or so more weeks and you’re in.
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

wow
i can’t believe i am doing so well… and most of the time I just pick teams because of how cool their helmet looks
Check my 49ers blogs at Mining the Gold Rush and San Francisco 49ers Examiner
I hate this game
I had the exact score of the GB vs Minny game (20 – 30). It’s 3rd and 12 on the GB 35 yard line with around 3:30 to play (game closing time) and MINNESOTA DECIDES TO DROP THEIR SAFETIES 30 YARDS BACK TO PLAY PREVENT.

Concedes the 1st down, 25 yards of field position and allows GB to kick a garbage FG and STAY IN THE GAME. I want my perfect score back!!!! CHILDRESS YOU’RE AN IDIOT. That defensive call made no freaking sense on any level.
I’d be Top 5, I nailed that {site decoum} game and Childress let’em off the hook. Mark Clayton dropping the 4th down in NE won’t be forgotten either. I was predicting a late Raven comeback and he ended that.
If we’d stop picking 49ers and Broncos games I might take this to the house.
Sorry, I’ve been waiting 24 hours to rant about this.
What, no way!!
I had no idea you were posting results! I looked after week three but must have missed em. Heck if I’d known that I’d have put in a prediction last week. Darn it, I’ve really gotta have a good week here if I’m to have a shot at catching up. Time to start studying for my predictions…
Oh, and “how you scored”, I went back through your profile and found the week three results (finally!). Thanks for the bit about me in there!

So you’ve been pretty awesome, then!
In general, the posters who I’ve known longer will get in the recaps just because of name recognition. I try to mention newer people and I try to give credit to as many big weeks as I can, but it can be pretty tough to keep track of almost 100 individual scores in a perfectly fair way.
Congrats! Call yourself a contender with those scores.

A hearty thank you to Rich Aurilia for all the good memories, and to the Niners for finally getting the uni's (mostly) right.
yeah it was a bad week
I thought my only chance to score was my raw score of 12 in the GB-MIN game, but that got me nothing. I did eke out a 4th place in the SD-PIT game (raw score 24) in which I thought I had no chance. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I got three points!
Which is probably three more than I was expecting. This week was extremely tough. I can’t believe how many single-digit raw scores there ended up being. Maybe it wasn’t tough and I just sux at this?
wow...
I didn’t even realize until now that I got a perfect score because I was away all weekend! Who woulda thunk that a Nolan D would be helping a team win ball games
I failed because I couldn't go with Vikes, Nolan.
Only 3 of 6 this week because I just couldn’t go with the Vikes and Favre after they stole our victory or Nolan’s defense over the Cowgirls’ offense. Even though I knew better. But I really did think the Ravens would beat the Pats at home – massive fail because Brady just tore them a new one with a little help from the zebras. Now that I’m slipping back into football prediction mediocrity, I just don’t know what I’ll tell Mom – she’ll be devastated. Actually, I owe every bit of my success to my great good friend, Dumb Luck.
Prediction mediocrity, while in firm control of a third place tie. You, sir, have remarkable standards.
