…tipped..but still an interception

That wasn't floated.

You want a quarterback not afraid to throw into tight coverage. It went off Crabtree’s hands and Sanders cleaned it up. I think Smith is playing okay.

Alex has a better sense of the pass rush now

It was just a 2 yard pass, but if he held it longer for another read he would have been sacked.

He put the ball in a playmakers hands. Thats all you can ask of him on plays like that. Its still early but im liking Alex so far.

Yeah, this play-calling is really allowing the Colts to bring their safeties up close to the line. I mean, if you want to run, then that’s the exact opposite of what you want to see. They need to do something to force the safeties wide or downfield.

I find every offensive pass plan by the 49ers terrifying

No one should should have to play QB against a pass rushing defensive line like this with such a weak offensive line. Dangerous.

That is why they have to mix it up and run a lot on 1st down, etc.
They have to try to keep the defensive lineman a little bit tentative.
Look at how they tee it up on 3rd downs.

Smith is doing this with a really weak offensive line against a stellar pass rush. Really impressive.

The way he spreads the ball around is outstanding. Davis, Gore, Crabtree…
