Golden Nuggets: Tarell Brown ready to step up
It's game day and Tarell Brown is dominating the news today. Brown will be making his debut as a starting cornerback against arguably the best passing attack in the NFL. One plus to that is that we should certainly find out what Brown brings to the table early on.
I wanted to use this intro for one other important bit of information. Unfortunately I'll be away from a tv and a computer and won't be able to watch the game until later in the afternoon. We'll still have a game thread, and in fact, I've scheduled additional game threads scheduled so the threads don't get too full. The first game thread will appear at 9:30, the second at 10:45, the third at noon, and the fourth at 1:00. That 1pm thread will be for the closing minutes of the game, and post-game. Additionally, since the Cardinals and Panthers will be playing in a game with huge implications for the 49ers, I'll have a game thread going up for that game (and all the other afternoon games) at 1:15pm.

hmm..
the colts are 11-2 when peyton is sacked 3 times or more.. well i don’t think i’ll have to ask the 49ers to not sack peyton lol
Are we rooting for the Cards or Cats today?
I’m torn, do we root for the Division Leader to help us out with the 2010 draft pick, or do we root for the Panthers to help us out in our division?
Here’s what I’m going to do: If the Niners pull off the upset, and they will, I’ll root for the Panthers. If the Niners lose, I’ll root for the Panthers. In other words, Carolina has plenty of other games to screw the pooch during, let’s see them upset the Big Red Machine!
funny
how much more attention this game is getting on nfl network right now. every mins they are checking in on the weather and injuries etc. oh to have a peyton manning on your team.
Glad to see Clements...
…has been demoted. It’s been depressing to watch other teams’ top receivers take advantage of him.
But will it prove to be worse?
Do we have to watch him get sauteed by a lesser WR? Maybe we should have traded him for an OL

Clements' tackling
has been suspect for a while. If Tarrell steps up maybe we can cut Clements loose next year, or move to safety? He’s got good hands…
Looking to put San Fran*six-o* here some time soon!
I suspect Clements will be in there covering Dallas Clark.
He’s big enough to handle him. I suspect the Niners wanted someone faster on the wideouts for this week.
