49ers-Packers Final Injury Report
We're two days away from a monstrous game for the 49ers and we've got our final injury report of the week. A whole lot of probable players, but not much beyond that. Barrows thinks we'll see Matt Wilhelm starting at the Ted linebacker spot over Takeo Spikes, who remains "day-to-day." Wilhelm was solid last Thursday as a mid-game replacement for Spikes, so let's hope it carries over to Sunday.

Scott Wells is listed as probable, which means he should play. No rookie matchup for Aubrayo Franklin as was thought earlier.
It’s still a favorable matchup for Franklin. Wells is only like 295 lbs. and lacks leverage. Our original starter Spitz, who is our best o-lineman, is out for the year.

GB will go long early to test the secondary.
Can the offense score? How horrible will special teams be?
I predict another decent day for Gore.
Special Team
I suspect the GB ST will be worse than the Niners’. The SF return game may leave much to be desired but the coverage units are excellent and GB special teams are pretty bad. One big play there (blocked punt or FG, or finally breaking a long return) could be the difference in favor of SF.
You gotta bring ass to get ass.
Haha yeah
Our special teams is probably the worst in the league by far. We can’t cover a kickoff to save our lives, and I can’t remember the last time our punter punted a ball that hung in the air longer then 3 seconds.

I wouldn't worry too much
Our return guys spend more time running east-west than north-south.
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. -Dennis Miller
