There are plenty of posts open for discussion of the 49ers loss today. If you feel like discussing tonight's Eagles-Bears game, feel free to head in here. The link will take you to NBC's free live stream of the game if you don't have a tv. I've got Devin Hester going tonight in a fantasy league and could use a solid showing in my playoff push.

Misattribution of the day:

Lions coach just credited Steinbeck with the quote:

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…

That explains why he’s a football coach I guess.

If Bochy coached the Warriors Bengie Molina would start every game at PG.

Yeah, but how can anyone not know that’s a Tupac lyric? I can’t believe he thought Steinbeck wrote it.

This game could get kind of interesting because the Eagles have been unpredictable when playing away games. If anything, I’m convinced I’ll get more evidence to prove my point that Cutler is not a good QB. The Eagles will probably win by a touchdown and cover the two point spread.

So long Lovie Smith

Keep that door open...

Maybe Singletary will walk through it.

Well, we're waiting....

Cutler actually went a whole quarter without throwing a INT.

I just read that Holmgren is open to taking a head coaching position.

by Chimneyfish on Nov 22, 2009 6:06 PM PST reply actions

I’d rather have Shanahan, than Holmgren.

Retreads

No thanks. Better to hire a new guy and let him take it. Which is one reason I still support Sing. Instead of hiring a Holmgren/Shanahan/Parcells when they’re at the end, one should remember that they were once a young assistant that someone took a chance on. Hire the guy at the beginning of his career not the end.

You gotta bring ass to get ass.

by SpurredOn on Nov 22, 2009 6:13 PM PST up reply actions

Agreed

But if you were going to hire a retread, I would rather go with Shanahan than Holmgren.

Care to explain why?

Not that I disagree or anything, but I just want to know why.

Because he always got the most out of his offensive line. I think he would be able to get the most out our offensive line, even with the injuries.

Now McNabb throws a Cutler.

The Niners offensive line doesn’t even get called for as many holds as the Bears. They are really undisciplined.

That's because the Refs ignore the D being held.

I'll say it over and over Crabtree was not the pick we NEEDED, at least until he scores with 100yds receiving.

wow

almost had a perfect in the night game – I guessed PHI 26-20

A hearty thank you to Rich Aurilia for all the good memories, and to the Niners for finally getting the uni's (mostly) right.

and after scanning the other predictions

looks like that will be good for 3rd place.

I’m annoyed that my prediction of 28-20 will only get me fourth place.
