This isn't Kool Aid abuse..
The author is flat out speedballing a half and half.
Well, we're waiting....
Streaky AZ team with a QB who got hurt on Sunday
if Warner is out for any length of time it will be very bad for AZ.
Yup I like kool aid
49ers Al Grito De Guerra!!! hahaha

I would mainly disagree with....
having two NFC west teams at 9-7 in the playoffs. Too many decent teams in the NFC to have a wildcard be 9-7
I would see maybe a NFC East team at 10-6 making it in, or a NFC South team

WOW what about Dallas?
They have 7 wins now! Do you really think they don’t make the playoffs? Heck, they only need 2 more wins for at least a 9-7 record. I see Dallas going at least 10 wins. Oh and I hate Dallas, but I would expect them beat Oakland, and Washington again. Not saying Dallas wins their division, but I don’t see them slipping out of a playoff spot!
11-5... So I was overly Optimistic! Maybe Next year!
Defensive Rookie of the Year
I think it is going to be that Cornerback from the Bills. He already has like 10 INTs.
The Bengals just got beat by the PantyRaiders
Not a harbinger of Super Bowl greatness.
The 9ers mercifully won’t make the playoffs. In fact we’ll be lucky to not have a losing season.
Shaun and Alex ~ A Commitment to Mediocrity
It's very possible about the niners going 9-7
Look at our schedule jaguars (inconsistent) seahawks (beat them once) cardinals (tough Monday night game) eagles (toughest game) lions (should win) rams (should win). Now the niners are pretty inconsistent themselves but they do have an easy schedule to go 9-7 now the niners just need to come to play.
9-7
Wont make a playoff spot in the NFC or AFC this year. All 4 Wild Cards will be 10-6 in both conferences. We will have to win the division. The only way that is happening is if the Cards (A) lose Warner for the year, and (B) Completely and totally have a melt down and only win 2 out of the next 6. With a really weak schedule the rest of the year for them, that will be hard to do. We also have to win 5 out of the next 6. Basically play flawless football. It is possible of course, but this week is our last breath of air if we lose. If we lose, you may as well pull the plug on playoffs.
Only way we make it is to clinch the NFC west
9-7 won’t be good enough to get a wildcard if we don’t clinch the division. 9-7 might be good enough to clinch the division though.
Here’s AZ’s schedule for the rest of the year.
Tennessee—they can easily lose here. The Titans are playing great football right now
Minnesota—Should be a shoot out but the Vikings should win this one.
San Francisco—We have to win this one to have a chance at NFC West
Detroit—no way they lose
St. Louis—ditto
Green Bay—If GB plays them like they played us they lose. OTOH both Kampman and Harris are done for the season so they might tear apart the Packer’s secondary.
Our schedule:
Jacksonville
Seattle
Arizona
Philly
Detroit
St. Louis
We should be able to beat all those teams except Philly. If we win every one of those games but Philly we end up 9-7 on the year.
We’re still very much in the play off hunt.
basically
what i stated above on my comment so yeah agree

When you look at it that way
It’s really too bad the Niners lost the Green Bay game. Just too many missed opportunities so far this year…

Key Games
In order of toughness:
1) @ Eagles – I think SF has gotten killed a few times there in recent memory and McNabb will carve the secondary if the pass rush can’t get him. The only way to win this game is basically sell out on defending the pass as their running game is suspect.
2) vs Cards – No doubt this will be another close game, it’s just in the nature of AZ-SF games especially on Monday night. I think same thing here applies to the Philly game, defend the pass first and dare their running game to beat you. However, Boldin and Fitz are gigantic receivers who are tough to shut down with Warner at QB but this whole game can swing in SF’s favor if Leinart had to start.
3) @ Seahawks – Not exactly a tough team but they are tougher playing at home. I think Hasselbeck is still good enough to go through the secondary but they have no receivers or a running game; this is a game where the 49ers have to jump out to a 10-14 point lead and just play defense.
Win the inning.
Regular Season MVP: Chris Johnson if Titans run the table-otherwise P Manning
Defensive Player of the Year: Charles Woodson
Offensive Player of the Year: Chris Johnson
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Percy Harvin
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Brian Cushing
Worst Team in the League: Cleveland Browns at 1-15
"Optimist Prime"
Haden and Berry 1st round?
I think I completely agree with this
I don’t really like Woodson but he has been great this year and no one else has really stood out enough.

What about Darren Sharper?
Vince Young is making a play for the comeback award, but so is Cedric Benson
