Niners to drop tampering charges?
According to Matt Maiocco the Niners are going to drop tampering charges against the Jets.

I think this is bs
If we had a case we need to pursue despite the fact that we got our guy.
Maiocco says this in his Twitter page:
The 49ers have their guy, Michael Crabtree, and have decided not to pursue the matter any further with the NFL office
I think...
… the league came back to the 49ers saying “look, we can’t (or won’t) find anything that incriminates them enough to punish them, so you can either look like fools and continue on or you can withdraw saying you got your man and maybe save some face.”
I don’t really know how likely that scenario is, but it’s what I’m thinking.
Tampering
I added this in as part of our front page game thread for tonight’s MNF game (otherwise would have promoted yours). Such is life with Crabtree I suppose.
