Cardinals Lose!
Having The Sunday Ticket was great today as I flipped from the Niners game to the Cards game during commercials. I don't live in the Bay Area anymore so I cannot be sure that they showed the end of the Cards vs. Titans game after Smith took that final knee. I don't know about you all (at least those who caught the end of it) but seeing Vince Young do what he did to them at the end of that game was great. I took great satisfaction in seeing VY do what he did to Leinart again as he did a few years back in the National Championship game all over again; the look on Leinarts face "priceless". Just an overall awesome weekend of football for me....
Next up for the Cards: The Vikings have been nearly flawless in play against every opponent this year. The defense has been wreaking havoc on QB's and shredding most teams run games. The Cards will have their hands full even if Warner takes the field. Jared Allen will make his life miserable.
Next up for the Niners: The Seahawks have been very streaky and you never know what team is going to show up. Going in and having to deal with the 12th man this coming weekend will be a very hard challenge. We will need to jump out to a fast start as we did today, to have any chance at somewhat neutralizing that crowd any.
Should we pull off a victory in Seattle, and the Cards get Favre'd like alot of teams have this season, then all of the sudden, the Monday Night game against the Cards would be a battle for 1st place in the division. I hope todays game was a sign of things to come...the Jags afterall have been a Jekyl and Hide type of story this year. I don't want to start counting chickens before they hatch but it certainly gave us a bit more hope than we all had a week or so ago.

Seattle will be tough..
Definitely the game of the year… If things go as needed (SF win, AZ loss), then obviously that MNF game will be the game of the year. and so on. But isn’t that how you want the division to be decided, head to head? If we go on to win next week and AZ loses, whoever wins the MNF game DESERVES to go to the playoffs as the NFC West champions. No more of this “well we beat them, and they lost to that same team” crap, it will be decided one on one.. how it ought to be..
GO NINERS!!!!
havn't we had
like 4 “games of the year” in a row now?
They are all GOTY from here on out… until we lose one.
FIRE BRIAN SABEAN... UNLESS HE KEEPS DRAFTING WELL. .. AND SIGNS UNDERRATED PLAYERS LIKE AFFELDT OR PHELPS. .. OR ALRIGHT WHO'S PLAYING WITH THE ALIEN MIND-SWITCHING RAY?

PARPG- Indy post-apocalyptic roleplaying game currently in early planning stages.
That last drive by VY was incredible
99 yards down the field and a game winning TD on 4th and goal.
I’m telling you he’s gonna get comeback player of the year.
Over Brady? Yeah right

Yes 10fortech, Crabtree can block, should the two drops question other things? I know none of those passes came down like a punt!!!
Brady will get it cause he's Brady
Also VY hasn’t had a full season like Brady so there’s all that to consider. However, if VY does not lose another game and leads his team to the playoffs after that horrid start, then I think he has to be considered.
With the bias in place, you’re more than likely right…but I think VY has to at least be mentioned in the conversation if he continues do what he’s been doing each week.

Vince Young is not the man who is carrying the Titans right now. He’s garnered around 180 YPG and 4 TDs. The guy lining up behind him on every snap is that leader.

Sounds like the Hater Vince loves
He threw for 387 yards and down the stretch he wasn’t passing to Johnson he was passing to his WR’s on that last drive.

Morgan dropped a TD, and the whole blogospere went nuts!!
Yes I want Eric Bery to be a 49er!
Well then,
For the sake of the award, may Mr. Young feed off of my pessimism and outperform Mr. Brady.

He showed up
But I didn’t see any trails of him at Field Gulls. I cannot blame him for staying away from that blog. You either agree with Joan Morgan or you start every post with, “Excuse me sir, I have a contradictory opinion to your own and if you’re in the mood I’d like to share that opinion in hopes of just adding to discussion because I recognize it’s not feasible for you to ever be wrong.”
Seriously, I was reading a thread and someone questioned Aaron Curry’s football instincts and he chimes with “size of DE, closes like a DB and hits like a LB, just give him time.” No one is allowed to gripe about Ruskell or the direction of the franchise so most talk is about soccer games or fan posts include people’s homework for class.
Jeebus..
If they don’t talk football there, at least post pics of hotties.
Well, we're waiting....

Pretty true
He’s pretty strict and not too wavering for other opinions, and tends to (somewhat wildly) exaggerate on his own which is annoying, but at least he knows what he’s talking about. The shtick can get pretty old though.

The Sweetest Thing Was...
I was at club on base watching the games. There was 3 Arizona Fans there, and I was telling them that Vince was going to drive the ball 99 yards and win it for Tennessee! Hopefully with no time left on the clock so you can’t have another lucky Kickoff return for a TD. When he threw that TD with no time left, they didn’t say a word. They just got up, grabbed their coats, and walked out of the Club! The sweetest part was they were giving me hell for the 49ers losing to the Titans 4 weeks ago and now they know my pain!
11-5... So I was overly Optimistic! Maybe Next year!
Comment from user vandam: Projecting the rest of the season
Maybe I’m just dreaming, but this is how i see the rest of the season for the Niners and Cards. With the Niners beating the Jags and Cards losing to the Titans, Niners are 5-6 and the Cards are 7-4. Looking at the rest of the schedule the Niners play Seattle, Arizona, Philly, Detroit, and St. Louis. I’m looking at that schedule, and am thinking at best the Niners go 4-1, losing to Philly. This all hinges on beating Seattle and Arizona too, the next two toughest teams to play. Arizona has The Vikings, Niners, Detroit, St. Louis, and Green Bay. I think most likely, they can go 2-3, winning against the Lions and Rams, but losing to the Vikings, Niners and Packers. So I’m feeling good, cause that means the Niners will have a 9-7 record, and tied with Arizona at 9-7, winning the division with the tie breaker. The only game i have doubts about is the Cardinals playing the Packers.
Of course, should the Niners lose to the Cards on Monday Night in two weeks, then my dream would become a nightmare!
thats exactly
what i see fooch hope it comes through it would be so awesome to see the niners in the playoffs :)

That's a comment from someone else (vandam), not Fooch.
I assume that it was initially a fanpost but it shadowed this one to an extent. So in order to streamline and cosolidate, he copied and pasted the post as a comment here. I could be wrong but that is what I see it as.
