How much does that loss to the Vikings hurt right now?

That Vikings game was 100% ours. If those 12 seconds had turn out differently, we'd be 6-5 right now. How much would that have helped us right now? It just says how much Brett Favre always ruins us. I'm not saying we won't make the playoffs, but that win would have helped us more than anything. The Colts and Titans game was not in our hands till the final seconds, but the Vikings game....man that was ours. I'm rooting hard for the Vikings next sunday night, and I hope Favre actually helps us out this time. If we just denied Favre on that play, the play that could ruin our season if we don't make it by one game or the vikings are first in the NFC by one game. 12 seconds...it may come back to haunt us when the season ends.

That was the top close loss....

that can be blamed on homer/favre biased officiating. I don’t want to complain about bad refs, but the Vikes scored 10 pts on 2 drives kept alive by horrible calls. The NFL owes the 49ers a playoff birth lol

win out

& a card loss next week then the loss doesn’t mean nothing. The loss is in the past(although i under stand), we’re in the present looking towards the future. that loss is like a turnover in the 2nd quarter. it’s not whether it happen or not , it’s how the team respond to it. do they let it bug them or do they move forward. the way the vikings game ended, i’m looking forward towards us winning out & seeing them in the playoffs. that loss isn’t keeping us out of the playoffs, it just took home field away, & look how we played in THEIR house.

they say, you enjoy something the most when you struggle the hardest(& we know how long & hard the struggle has been). My dream scenario is winning out(which is DEFINITLY possible), going though the cowgirls(b/c i’m a cowboy hater), seeing the vikings(going though niner killa/hater bret farve) in the nfc champ, & taking the BOWL baby. WHAT!!!!!

go niners!!! airday allday

Texans game

It was in our hands at the end as well. Smith threw that pick to end the game. Remember?

There is nothing we can do about it now. Dwelling on it won’t help take it back. Let’s move forward…

Not quite to the same degree.

1:30 from the 6 yard line to start the drive. 4th and 10 from the 38 with something like 30 seconds left when that pick happened.

To be honest, it hurt more when it happened.

When it happened was like when some douche takes an aluminum bat and swings it as hard as he can at my arm. He broke my freaking arm! And holy crap, that hurt!

Now, whatever pain I feel is just some lingering soreness that’s there while the bone heals. If I don’t move my arm too much, I don’t notice it. But every now and then it feels pretty sore. Still, it hurt more when it broke.

I don't know about that, to the groin.

I knew then

that the loss would haunt us. I can deal with all the other close losses but that one wasn’t okay with me. My friends were all saying the niners would bounce back but I knew there would be other close losses and that one was about as close as you can get.

These things tend to balance out for teams that aren’t the Colts or the Saints. The Cards got a heartbreaking loss this week. Let’s hope the division comes down to that monday night game, I think that’s the way it should be.

I'll just say this..

I’ve never wanted Favre to go off so much as I do this week.. I want him to make it rain in Arizona if you guys know what I mean :)

I agree

It was an unmitigated disaster that shook everyone’s confidence ~ team and fanbase.

I'm still not convinced.

Colts loss hurt the most

They are still undefeated with their babied QB, plus they beat the Cards already and we could have that win.

Colts & Vikings

The 49ers played 2 of the best teams in the league and almost won both of those games.

If (big if) they should meet them in the playoffs they’ll have a lot more confidence going in because of that.

Yes, I'm sure Jerry Rice never dropped a single pass in his entire football career.

I think about it time to time

But then I realized that both NE and AZ lost Super Bowls recently on a super lucky play by an unknown player and a near impossible catch in the end zone; now that really HURTS knowing that preventing that play alone will probably earn you a ring, a championship and bragging rights for 12 months.

In the end, yes it’s possible Favre might have prevented the 49ers to reach the playoffs but that was only during Week 3 so the team had 13 more games to to prove they are a playoff contender and this is where they are today at 5-6.

Win the inning.

vikings game

no question the vikings game hurt the most. after that game, i wanted to do some things that are illegal in most states- and i dont mean gay marriage. he heaved a lob pass 40 yards to no one for god sakes. if the montana-clark pass was the catch, that throw by favre should be called the flopadapulus. but the colts game hurt because we actually held manning under control

"Flopadapulus PKANG"

More like a bullshit heave!! Look guys, I’m a steelers fan and here’s what I hate about the NFL:

a)Deon Sanders/Michael Irvin/Jamie Dukes game analysis
b)John Madden color commentary
c) Cowboys and their fans
b)Patriots and their fans
e)Er team in AFC North Division
e) E-trade commercials
f) Modern day superbowl half-time shows with oldie bands
g)Chris Collonsworth’s stupid analogies and examples he uses to explain a play
f) T.O. and Chad Ochocinco
etc. etc.

I can go on and on BUT there is nothing I hate worse than Brett Favre. That guy’s legacy is throwing up prayers and getting lucky enough to complete them. I don’t really care about the 49ers, but I felt for you guys in that one, that pass was lucky, yeah lucky….just like every other thing Favre has done in his career besides wearing wrangler jeans, lying about retiring, getting drunk, and throwing 4th quarter interceptions.
