49ers 17 - Titans 10: Second half thread

Well, that first half was quite the roller-coaster of events, and it was well reflected in our two open threads.  The first thread saw the 49ers fall behind 10-3 and nothing seemed to be going right.  Brandon Jones struggled in punt returns, Alex Smith had an ugly pick, and Vince Young somehow was looking like his Heisman-self against the 49ers defense.

The second thread saw a turnaround as the 49ers scored a pair of touchdowns to take a 17-10 lead into the locker room at the half.  Alex Smith made some fantastic throws, the 49ers defense did a phenomenal job against the Titans offense, and Brandon Jones still struggled in punt returns.

On to the second half.

GO NINERS!

I think at the time people did, but as the years go by and people stop reflexively thinking everything from the late 70s-80s is fashion sin people re-evaluate.

The play was ruled dead

after the Titans secured the fumble receovery. Since, the play was ruled dead at that time it meant the Titans couldn’t advance the ball.

How about actually putting the game away before going into the prevent offense?

They call their best player "Kung Fu Panda" and they complain that people aren’t taking them or the game seriously enough? -Nick

It’s getting 30 yards per drive to the Titans 5 yards. After 2 or 3 possessions the offense will get the ball in scoring range. No need to get his risk.

If they want to be taken serious as a contender.
