Buying a jersey--who should I get?

So I'm buying a jersey for the first time and need some help with picking a player. I don't want to go with the obvious stars--right now I'm leaning to Aubrayo Franklin but will take any other suggestions. I normally wear a 2XL/3XL shirt size--will a 2XL jersey be big enough?

Franklin I think is a FA next year. May want to wait and see if we resign him. Hate for you to buy it and have him be gone in 8 weeks.

Oher non-“obvious stars” would probably be Josh Morgan, Delanie Walker, Tarrell Brown, Michael Robinson, Joe Staley, or even Justin Smith.

…..you are pretty “large” and that’s why you wanted a lineman jersey right? I see by above you wear a 2-3XL, but I remember in a post a while back you wanted a lineman’s jersey because you though a Punter, or WR jersey would look weird on a larger person.

Another idea is, buy the replica jersey where you can put your own name and number, and either put your name and number, or pick an OL guy and put their info on it. So if you like Rachal, or Baas, or Staley, just put that name on the back, with that number.

I'm thinkin Replica is the way to go

Cheaper than the authentic plus it lets me customize. I played lineman in high school. We had a smaller school so I played both ways—Right Guard on offense and Right Tackle on defense.

My opinion. Wait until after the draft when we hopefully grab Terrance Cody and get a customized jersey saying Mt. Cody with his number. That would be cool.

Franklin

I think that even if the 49ers re-sign Franklin, it’ll be for two years, tops. The guy plays a very physical position and is starting to get up there in years. The hope is that the 49ers are also trying to find the future NT somewhere, somehow.

I guess what I’m saying is: even if Franklin re-signs, I don’t think the 49ers would be signing him to anything that ties him to the team for too long.

Or you could always go old school. Our current jerseys look pretty much the same as our “throwbacks” so you wouldn’t even need to break the bank and buy an official throwback. If you go that route, I think Bryant Young is the way to go. Excellent player who is a legend amongst niners fans, but otherwise he flew under the radar for the most part

I already got

A Willis, Gore, and Crabtree jersey but I do see ur point in me looking weird in a Franklin jersey cuz I’m a skinny guy or you in a crabtree cuz your a big dude. I say go with a Staley or wait on Franklin if we sign him next year or wait for Mount Cody if we draft him
