Week 15 Prediction Games: The Results of the Round Table

First of all: I will be making a post explaining the two concurrent playoff games very soon. There is no need to worry, as, even though our regular season leaders will be rewarded with their own private game, there will be one open to everybody who wants to play. Even if you did not play at all during the regular season - even if you had a horrible year and just quit out of frustration - you'll have another chance with the slate wiped completely clean. Everybody at zero. The playoff games are a lot of fun.

Now how many of you actually read that as Nated Avis? I see there were a few you of you. Good. If you did, you can still be my friend. Not because I was actually typing Nated Avis. That would be stupid. In fact, just in case you still don't get it, I was typing Nate Davis. But you can be my friend because that's an awesome way to read that.

So I figure by now I've gotten the people who stopped reading when they saw Nate Davis in a post to stop reading. And I probably made the people who read Nated Avis stop reading because I basically called them stupid and they're all offended and pouty now. And I probably even got all of the Nate Davis fanbois to stop reading because they wanted to read about Nate Davis, and I fooled them into reading all this other crap.

In which case, my brilliant plan to make sure that nobody reads past the jump has succeeded. I am a genius.

Are you still reading now? If you are, I assume that you're groug - the only inalienable member of this coven. Hi groug. I know I promised you two lolgrougs, but there really isn't anything to lolgroug about. You scored a few points and you stayed in second, More than that, you picked up a little bit of ground. Plus, I just weaseled my way through saying it twice. Once again I must applaud my own genius. < clap clap clap >

Before I get too far into the results, I want to point out that Carolina game. Only one person had the stones to pick Carolina. In fact, DuikeBuike had the stones to put together quite a good week overall. There's nothing quite like picking up 14 points to jump from 14th place into 6th place. That's a playoff seed right there. And it just took one good week to steal.

I also want to congratulate our two perfect predictors today. Dub4lif3 and hudd07 made up for all of the terrible picks we made in the rest of the games by making a couple of great picks in this game. That gave hudd07 three spots in the rankings, and Dub4lif3 eight spots in the rankings. Dub4lif3 even set up a possible playoff run with that pick, and is just six points away from our current crop of 12 seeds.

Another very good week goes to whobob, who went from 23rd to 18th with a solid nine point week. PHUT!, mpotter14, and grantmp also had noteworthy weeks, so here's a note to point you to them: Check them out!

As usual, if I didn't notice you had a good week you're perfectly free to whine about it. And if you notice that I made a mistake, you're expected to whine about it. Whatever the case, it won't change my opinion that you're all a bunch of whiners.

The contract was drawn on fine golden paper, smooth to the touch, in both Sanskrit and English. Hanuman and I pored over it, and, sure enough, there were no mistakes, no subtle clauses in fine print that would return to haunt us.
