Still think they Niners will make the playoffs??? Repeat post
At the beginning of the year I called this team to go 6-10 or 7-9.
I think they will now end up as good as 8-8, due to the weak schedule vs. the Lions and the Rams.
The question is does anyone out there think they can pass the Cardinals as its very likely that only 1 NFC West team will make the playoffs.
The failure of Mc Boo Foo to consistently ignore concerns via the draft for a right tackle and pass rusher has been detrimental to say the least. Couple this with the injuries to Staley and Clements and I just don't see this team making the playoffs.
I just hope the Panthers continue to cooperate and the Niners go worse than 8-8 this year and use the draft properly as a way to build the team for the years going forward. The team has shown signs of improvement and there is no shame in not making the playoffs-especially with it most likely resulting in a 1st rd exit and a lower draft pick.
Think about it.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Where They Belong
With the Yorks and Mcclueless, this team is just where they should be..Until ownership hires someone for the front office who has a winning track record, 5,6,7 wins will go on forever..
The Yorks have proven for eight years now, that their imcompetence runs through this whole organization..
You have a 28 year old running the team and a GM and personel evaluator from Buffalo..Does anyone ever think this combo will bring us anywhere but out in the cold??
Singletary could be Vince Lombardi and he wouldn’t win with these boneheads in the front office..
it's like clock work
We don’t see this after wins, but we do see it after losses.

negativity
I have no problem with negative people leaving comments. I just find it kind of ridiculous when they only do it after a loss. Their complaints seem to go towards basic structural stuff (as opposed to play-calling in a single game), so man up and say something about it after a team wins if you want. Maybe not necessarily a whole FanPost, but certainly a comment in one of our many threads.

After reading that....
you would think that the 49ers won 2 games with Alex Smith. I’m fairly sure after the Chicago game there were a vast amount of complaints.
specific posts
There are always people providing criticism, which I’m perfectly fine with whether I agree or disagree with them. What I’m talking about our specific individuals that only post after losses.

And no comments to follow
What Italia 1970 proposed in the draft I agreed with, however I am not sure it would have given us more wins or losses. I do think more rushing yards and attempts and less sacks. Given the nature of the recent comments I will just say I concur with Fooch.

I meant...
We’ve seen a lot of losses that led to these posts. I agree that you Man up when they win though.
I was more excited about the team in a loss to MIN than a win against CHI.
Well, we're waiting....
pass rusher doesnt seem to be a need anymore
and the line has always been a problem but why draft players below the 3rd round if you dont think they will make an impact
I hate these posts but have been on this bandwagon all year
The failure of Mc Boo Foo to consistently ignore concerns via the draft for a right tackle and pass rusher has been detrimental to say the least.
I’d probably modify the statement to say “… consistently ignore concerns.” Mc Boo Foo elected to punt in 2009 in hopes of gaining a huge draft class in 2010, well it’s almost show time. The team needs at least 3 more solid players to be a viable playoff candidate while finding a long term solution to hold onto the talent he’s been cultivating. The only win for Mc Boo Foo this season is Singletary has managed to transform several of his failing 1st round picks into actual 1st round picks.
But, after all...
The only win for Mc Boo Foo this season is Singletary has managed to transform several of his failing 1st round picks into actual 1st round picks.
…it’s not the GM’s job to coach the players. Isn’t he supposed to identify players with potential and then leave it to the coaches to turn that potential into production? I’ve been thinking that Smith and Davis were mistakes, but maybe we’ve been blaming McCloughan for Nolan’s failures.
We'll see them again in the playoffs! What channel is it on?
I absolutely agree
He punted for sure. Now its time for the chickens to come home to roost. My call??? Mc Boo Foo out Holmgren in
plus 1
Where are the pass rushers from the draft? Sucking wood, I mean literally sucking on trees because they don’t appear to be playing football. Maybin has shown the only good play out of all of the prospects.

Picking pass rushers is like NBA teams constantly drafting 7" footers. 9 times out of 10 they are a completely wasted pick. If any lessons can be derived from the Steelers and Ravens it’s to use low picks on pass rushers than take 3/4 years to develop them into effective players. Trust me, when the next Reggie White is in the NFL draft he’s going to stick out like the next Shaquille O’Neal.
I think you mean Orakpo
Maybin was my favorite defensive player coming out this year. Just because of his athleticism, hustle, and heart. He has to learn an inside move according to Bill’s fans. I’ve taken a look at drafts 05’-08’ 1st round pass rush prospects. If in their rookie year they were successful, their success continued.. and if they didn’t have success that continued.
Still have to be careful about labeling Orakpo a success
He is getting the benefit of the monstrous Albert Haynesworth bump. I think Andre Carter is also having a banner season at the opposite DE position.
Very true
but people buy success in numbers.. they don’t factor in that it’s a result of a Haynesworth double team
Isn't Maybin that guy every suspected of roiding up?

Maybin supposedly gained weight when he
began eating the way a DE is suppose to eat. He also went through an intense training regiment. As you know I am bias when it comes to PSU
does anyone out there think they can pass the Cardinals
no
A hearty thank you to Rich Aurilia for all the good memories, and to the Niners for finally getting the uni's (mostly) right.
Oh god...
Every time I read “Mc Boo Foo” I can’t help but laugh….every. single. time.

Never thought they'd make it to begin with
I knew we didn’t have the players needed to make it. Sure, the specifics weren’t how I figured, but the overall product was how I figured.
I hope they can follow Packers' lead
Last year, the Pack went 6-10 after Favre left as they were 13-3 two years ago. I was quite surprised at their record as Rodgers had a great 1st starting year, their WRs are very good and their defense is decent so how did they end up having a worse record than SF? The answer was too many close losses; sound familiar?
They have turned it around this year after a so-so start and that is where I hope all these close losses can turn into close wins next season for the 49ers. Please draft well Scotty as those 2 1st round picks might just be what they need to turn close losses into W’s.
Win the inning.
